  • Patent number: 7201344
Abstract: In a multilayer coil which winds “n” wire rods (4) (“n” is an integer number of two or more) in line around a winding core (2) having a cross section of a polygonal shape. An intersection portion (5) is formed on a face where feeding of the winding core is made by feeding the wire rods by an amount of “n” wire rods during a period when the wire rods (4) are wound by one round around the winding core (2), so that the wire rods in a lower layer and an upper layer intersect therein. A twist portion (6) is formed at an end of at least one face out of the faces where the feeding is made, wherein two wire rods out of “n” wire rods are twisted to replace an arrangement of the wire rods.

  • Patent number: 6341744
Abstract: A coil winding apparatus 1 includes a transvers mechanism which displaces a wire supply part 8 and a spinds 5 to which a bobbin 4 is fitted relative to each other in an axial direction. This traverse mechanism includes a first traverse mechanism 11 and a second traverse mechanism 15 which have a different displacement range and displacement pitch. The first traverse mechanism 11 and second traversemechanism 15 are displaced independently of one another, so even when a wire of fine diameter is rapidly wound on a narrow width, the coil winding alignment does not break down, and the coil turns can be wound at high speed in an orderly arrangement.

  • Patent number: 5835308
Abstract: An actuator for a magnetic head of a disk device has a rotating arm constructed of resin. The arm is supported rotatably in a housing on an electrically conducting shaft, and a magnetic head supported by a supporting member at one end of the arm is moved to various positions above the magnetic disk when the arm is rotated by a rotating mechanism. An electrically conducting mechanism conducts static electricity from the supporting member of the magnetic head to the shaft so that static electricity is prevented from accumulating on the head supporting member of the resin arm or in its vicinity.

  • Patent number: 5828521
Abstract: An arm unit for a hard disk drive is made by assembling together a plurality of stacked arms, a bearing member for supporting the arm unit upon a pivot shaft, and a coil for providing a magnetic force to swing the arm unit around the pivot shaft. Spacers are provided between the arms, and structural are provided for maintaining gaps between the arms and the spacers. Holes formed in the arms and in the spacers receive the bearing member while maintaining a predetermined gap. These assembled elements are then arranged within a mold and are fixed together into one unitary body by resin injected into the mold. By this construction, the assembly of the unit into the mold is facilitated, and the manufacturing cost of the arm unit is reduced.

  • Patent number: 5397070
Abstract: An automatic coil winder provided with a turret having a rotation axle for carrying a bobbin and a motor for rotating this rotation axle, and provided with a nozzle for supplying wire to the bobbin, further comprises a mechanism for rotating the turret and a mechanism for fixing the turret in a predetermined rotation position. The rotation axis of the bobbin can therefore be inclined depending on the projection direction of a terminal pin on the bobbin, and the tying of the wire around the pin can be easily accomplished. By providing a displacement mechanism which can displace the turret in three dimensions, it is easy to adapt to operations other than winding such as soldering wire to the terminal pin or taping it to the bobbin, and the entire series of coil manufacturing processes can be automated.
