    Abstract: A sealing device capable of suppressing depletion of lubricant is provided. A sliding surface of a side lip 220 at a position away from a distal end of the side lip 220 is provided with a plurality of annular grooves 222 adjacent each other, each of all parts that form annular protrusions 223 between adjacent annular grooves 222 protrudes most at a center in a width direction thereof, with an amount of protrusion gradually decreasing with increasing separation from the center, and both sides of the center in the width direction are symmetric in shape. A tip portion of the sliding surface of the side lip 220 on the distal side of a region, which is provided with the plurality of annular grooves 222, is configured to make a planar contact with an end face of the annular member.

    Abstract: A metal gasket includes: a straight section provided with a bolt hole; a bead section raised from an inner peripheral edge of the straight section toward one side of the direction of the thickness of the gasket; and a bent section bent from an outer peripheral edge of the straight section toward the other side of the direction of the thickness of the gasket. When metal gasket is compressively sandwiched by a pair of housings, bead section elastically deforms to decrease height, and straight section elastically deforms, whereby the inner peripheral edge of the straight section contacts one of the housings, the outer peripheral edge of the straight section contacts the other housing, and the bent section contacts the one of the housings. A gasket installation determination projection is part of the periphery and provided on the outer peripheral edge of the bent section or of the straight section.

The pushing projections push the seal body against the groove inner-side circumferential surface and a groove outer-side circumferential surface between the groove inner-side circumferential surface and the groove outer-side circumferential surface. This reduces the gap between the groove outer-side circumferential surface and the seal member in the seal accommodating groove. Thus, salt water is unlikely to collect in the gap between the groove outer-side circumferential surface of the seal accommodating groove and the seal member. This improves the corrosion resistance of the housing and the seal member.
