Abstract: There are provided measures for configuration of radio communication in radio-assisted road traffic management scenarios. Such measures exemplarily comprise (for managing a predetermined area in a radio-assisted road traffic management scenario) detecting a specific road traffic condition in said predetermined area, and transmitting a configuration signaling instructing a configuration of at least one radio communication related parameter.
Abstract: In an embodiment, there is provided a method for optimization of network signalling load and/or User Equipment power consumption in a packet mobile system wherein an User Equipment UE has access to a network comprising a Core Network CN accessed by a Radio Access Network RAN, a method wherein CN assistance information is provided by said CN to said RAN for an UE, said CN assistance information including information determined in said CN based on a learning by said CN of a traffic pattern and/or a mobility pattern of said UE, and said CN assistance information is used in said RAN to adjust RAN parameters enabling to control transitions between idle and connected state and/or power consumption in connected state for said UE.
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) has both cellular and non-cellular links. The network sends it a first indication to maintain using a first set of security keys generated from a parameter specific to a source access node after the UE hands over the cellular link to a target access node without changing a wireless termination (WT) that is connected with the UE via the non-cellular link. The network uses that key to maintain the non-cellular link with the UE after the cellular link handover. From the UE's perspective it uses that key to authenticate its non-cellular link prior to the cellular link handover, but this handover does not change the WT which communicates with the UE via the non-cellular link so the UE can, only in response to receiving a first indication associated with the handover, use that same key to maintain that non-cellular link after the handover.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for recording, at a recording apparatus, video content obtained from an array of cameras, wherein each camera records video content from a section of a recording area; receiving a wireless message from a tag situated in the recording area; applying a time stamp to the received wireless message; determining directional information of the tag in the recording area based on analysis of the wireless message; and causing the directional information and the timestamp to be stored.
Abstract: A method is disclosed, comprising providing video data representing a plurality of frames of virtual reality content captured by a camera. A further step comprises determining a reference depth or object within the content. A further step comprises adjusting the position of content in one or more frames, based on the reference depth or object, to compensate for the movement of the camera during capture.

Abstract: A method comprising determining that an interactable object is within a field of view of a head mounted display while the head mounted display is operating in a first power mode, and transitioning the head mounted display from operation in the first power mode to operation in a second power mode based, at least in part, on the determination that the interactable object is within the field of view, such that the head mounted display consumes more power during operation in the second power mode than during operation in the first power mode is disclosed.

Abstract: A technique includes detecting, by a user device, a network slice associated with an access attempt by the user device to access a wireless network, and making, by the user device, a barring decision for the access attempt based on the network slice associated with the access attempt. Another example technique may include receiving, by a base station from one or more core network entities within a wireless network, network slice-specific load information that indicates a load for each of one or more network slices, determining, by the base station based on the received network slice-specific load information, a barring configuration that indicates a set of barring parameters for one or more access categories, and sending, by the base station to a user device, the barring configuration to reduce a load on the wireless network.
Abstract: A method includes generating a payload container information element comprising two or more payload entries at user equipment in a communication system, and sending the payload container information element from the user equipment to at least one network element in the communication system. Another method includes receiving a payload container information element comprising two or more payload entries at a network function in a communication system from user equipment in the communication system, and decoding the two or more payload entries of the payload container information element into two or more individual payloads at the network function.
Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from load control. For example, systems that employ device-to-device discovery signal transmissions may benefit from such load control. A method can include determining a first classification of a user equipment according to desired or allowed transmission probability. The method can also include configuring a transmission probability based on the first classification. The method can further include operating the user equipment based on the transmission probability.
