  • Patent number: 9430834
Abstract: In a method, a first image of a subject is taken from a first viewpoint. The first image of the subject is composed of a first plurality of pixels. A second image of the subject is taken from a second viewpoint. The second image of the subject is composed of a second plurality of pixels. Pixels in the first plurality of pixels in the first image correspond to pixels in the second plurality of pixels in the second image. Corresponding pixels lie on first epipolar lines in the first image and on second epipolar lines in the second image. The first and second images are rectified to make the first and second epipolar lines parallel to one another and to place corresponding pixels in the first and second images on one of a plurality of pairs of common scanlines. For at least one pair of common scanlines, a corresponding pixel is found in the second image for each pixel in the first image such that a visual perception matching cost (VPMC) is minimized.

  • Patent number: 9426708
Abstract: Enhanced mobility for devices using a moving relay, or in a moving relay environment, may be valuable in the Long Term Evolution (LTE) of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3 GPP). In particular, enhanced mobility procedures for user equipment (UE) can be useful with respect to a moving relay and the radio access network (RAN) interface (IF) between the user equipment and the moving relay. Thus, certain embodiments can improve the mobility procedures between moving relays and macro layer (stationary nodes, for example, eNodeBs). A method according to certain embodiments can include determining, by a user equipment, a stable average of a signal characteristic of a signal from a mobile access point. The method can also include limiting handover of the user equipment based on the stable average.

  • Patent number: 9425931
Abstract: A method for uplink control signaling in CoMP operation is described. The method includes allocating a first set of CCEs for an associated transmission from an AP to an associated UE. The method also includes transmitting, to a RRH, a message including an indication of the first set of CCEs. The message including the indication of a first set of CCEs is received at the RRH. The method also includes allocating, by the RRH, a second set of CCEs for an associated transmission from the RIM to an associated UE. A UE receives the transmission of downlink control information beginning at a first CCE. The method includes receiving a PUCCH resource offset parameter, the PUCCH resource offset parameter indicating the reception point for the UE. The UE determines an uplink control channel resource based on the first CCE and the PUCCH resource offset parameter.
