Abstract: In general, the present invention purposes a method for automated information based selective data provision by an identification device is provided. Information data associated with a plurality of data records stored in a data storage are scanned in order to obtain filter information relating to the plurality of data records from the informational data. Then at least one data record out of the plurality of data records is selected. The selection of the data records is obtained on the basis of the obtained filter information which are compared with a predefined filter rule for identifying relevant data records which match with the filter rule. The at least one selected data record is subsequently configured at the identification device and the identification device provides at least one configured data record as an identification information to be retrievable wirelessly by an external inquiring entity.

Abstract: A product placement and advertising method utilizes a video signal having a product placement with an active hypertext link and/or a linking advertisement. If the user of a mobile terminal receiving the video signal clicks on the product placement or linking advertisement, the server obtains the location of the mobile terminal and generates or selects an advertisement which is related to the location.

A privacy policy management infrastructure receives a request for an exchange of structured data among a plurality of devices. The privacy policy management infrastructure determines one or more elements of the structured data. The privacy policy management infrastructure also determines one or more privacy policies corresponding to the structured data, respective ones of the one or more elements, or a combination thereof. The privacy policy management infrastructure further determines to apply the one or more privacy policies to the structured data, respective ones of the one or more elements, or a combination thereof when initiating the exchange.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for facilitating speech synthesis. A method may include generating a plurality of input models representing an input by using a statistical model synthesizer to statistically model the input. The method may further include determining a speech unit sequence representing at least a portion of the input by using the input models to influence selection of one or more pre-recorded speech units having parameter representations. The method may additionally include identifying one or more bad units in the unit sequence. The method may also include replacing the identified one or more bad units with one or more parameters generated by the statistical model synthesizer. Corresponding apparatuses are also provided.

A master node is connected via the at least one intermediate network element to a first slave node. In the case of a fault condition the traffic is conveyed between the deputy node and the first slave node. Furthermore, a communication system ideally contains such a device.

Abstract: An approach is provided for scheduling resources for device-to-device communications. A resource of a network is granted to a group designated for device-to-device communications. The group then determines how the resource allocation is utilized to support the communication session and allocates the resource among the user equipment within the group independently of the base station. Further, a user equipment pair in the group determines transmit/receive (Tx/Rx) timeslot configuration to allow TDD mode operations, and further configure the modulation and coding for the device-to-device connection, and error control scheme for the pair via control signaling independently from the group.

A method may include receiving a request for security key related policy information for a user equipment device. The request may be sent by a service providing node on a visited network. The method may further include causing a service authorization information request including a user security settings package to be sent to a policy decisioning server. The method may also include receiving, in response to the service authorization information request, a service authorization information answer including a modified user security settings package including the authorization policy information for the user equipment device.
