  • Patent number: 5595439
Abstract: A lampholder for decorative strings of lights comprises at least two clips, one of which is radially oriented, the other of which is axially oriented, the axially oriented clip being formed as an extension of the radially oriented clip. Preferably a second axially oriented clip is provided in diametrically and axially opposed relationship to the first axial clip. The clips permit the lampholders to be secured to widely different types of supports that may be adventitiously found in a dwelling structure or that may be easily provided and attached thereto, and in different orientations, thereby facilitating the decoration of the dwelling. Suitably and preferably the clips are integrally molded with the body of the lampholder.

  • Patent number: 5580159
Abstract: A miniature light fixture includes a miniature light bulb, an elongated folding element having a recess that receives a base portion of the light, and a socket bounding an internal passage for partially receiving the holding element in an assembled condition of the fixture. At least one hook-shaped projection to be used to effect extraction of the holding element out of the passage of the socket extends axially beyond an end portion of the holding element that is situated outside the passage in the assembled condition and includes an outwardly extending engageable nose on its free end. At least one protuberance and at least one associated depression are disposed on respective zones of the holding element and of a circumferential wall of the socket that are juxtaposed with one another in the assembled condition in which the depression receives the protuberance.

  • Patent number: 5541818
Abstract: An arrangement for mounting a miniature light on a tree branch includes a mounting member that has a first end portion forming a first channel for receiving a portion of the miniature light, and a bifurcated second end portion forming a recess for receiving a portion of a respective branch that is situated at the location at which the miniature light is to be placed. The recess has at least two portions respectively bounded by at least two substantially circularly cylindrical surfaces of different diameter. The recess portions open into one another at respective cusps separating the recess portions from one another. The cylindrical surface diameters decrease from one of the recess portions to another in a direction toward the one end portion and are so chosen as to enable the respective recess portions to individually accommodate and frictionally engage the branch portion having thicknesses within a wide range.

  • Patent number: 5417604
Abstract: A modular constructional toy kit for use in forming signs is made up of modular elements, each of which comprises a body portion having a planar forwardly facing surface with a bounding periphery having a regular geometric shape, and coupling elements for coupling the modular elements together with the planar surfaces generally residing in a plane and the body portions in side by side relationship. A set of e.g. alphabetic characters is provided, each character being arranged on a discrete portion of planar sheet material bounded by a margin complementary to the periphery of the body portion. Preferably the characters are die cut on the discrete portions of sheet material so as to form the character and at the same time a reverse character, either of which may be applied to the planar surface of the modular elements.
