  • Patent number: 8263918
Abstract: A microwave packaging made of a flexible, heat-sealable laminate has a grid structure made of electrically non-conductive cells that do not absorb microwaves, and an electrically conductive metal grid that separates the cells from one another. The metal grid has a layer thickness of at least 1 ?m, and the cells each have a size between 100 mm2 and 1200 mm2. The proportion of the non-conductive area formed by the cells amounts to at least 50% of the total area. A liquid-tight outer film follows a first side of the metal grid directly or by way of at least one connecting layer, and a moisture-absorbent layer follows a second side of the metal grid directly or by way of at least one intermediate layer, and has a polymer base substance and extends essentially over the entire area of the laminate. The microwave packaging is formed from the laminate by heat-sealing.

  • Publication number: 20110268372
Abstract: A side-gusseted bag has two front walls which are joined by a side gusset at a longitudinal side provided with a reclosure. The side gusset is folded-over outwards in the region of the reclosure in such a manner that the side gusset ends at its folded-over section at the associated longitudinal side. The reclosure running in the longitudinal direction is fastened to an inner surface of the side gusset at the folded-over section. A method for manufacturing a side-gusseted bag is also provided.

  • Patent number: 7077924
Abstract: A method for producing tapes in pairs for the manufacture of closing tapes for baby diapers. The tapes are formed mirror-symmetrically and secured on the baby diapers in pairs. The method comprises the following steps: a web of material is separated in four strips, whereby two strips are processed as plane support tapes. The two other strips are guided via reversing stations over the support tapes and folded to form release tapes that each comprise a short leg and a long leg. Closing tapes that comprise male or female closing elements for a mechanical self-closure, are laminated to the support tapes in the direction of transport of these support tapes. The release tapes are applied to the support tapes in the direction of transport, whereby the short leg is glued to the support tape, and the long leg at least partly covers the closing tape that has been applied to the support tape. There is also a device for producing the tapes using the method described above.

  • Patent number: 6620492
Abstract: A laminate is provided made of two film materials with different tear resistance values, particularly made of polyester and polyethylene. The part of the laminate made from a film material with a high tear resistance is structured in multiple layers and has at least two layers made from this high tear resistance material connected with one another by an adhesive layer with a low shear resistance. This structure results in a laminate having improved tear resistance.
