Abstract: A galley cart for moving along an aisle of a vehicle is presented, the galley cart comprising a body comprising a right longitudinal portion, a left lateral portion, a rear portion disposed between the right and the left lateral portions on a rear side of the body, a door opening disposed between the right and the left lateral portions on a front side of the body, an upper portion disposed between the right and the left lateral portions, a lower portion disposed between the right and the left lateral portions, wheels attached to the lower portion for supporting the body, a door pivotally attached to the body and adapted to mate with the door opening and a locking mechanism operatively associated with the door for selectively securing the door to the body in a closed position thereof the upper portion of the cart comprising a peripheral frame including a plurality of container-supporting portions.

Abstract: A collapsible container having an expanded storage configuration and a collapsed storage configuration is provided, the collapsible container comprising a floor portion; a ceiling portion opposed to the floor portion; at least one wall portion disposed between the floor portion and the ceiling portion; at least one door portion disposed between the floor portion and the ceiling portion; and at least two posts having a collapsed length configuration and an expanded length configuration, the at least two posts, in the collapsed length configuration, being adapted to interconnect the ceiling portion to the floor portion when the container is in the collapsed configuration and, in the expanded length configuration, being adapted to interconnect the ceiling portion to the floor portion when the container is in the expanded configuration. A collapsible container kit and a method of using the collapsible container is also provided.

Abstract: A reinforced composite material utility cart comprising a body including two side portions interconnecting an upper portion and a bottom portion adapted to secure ground contacting members thereto is provided, at least one of the portions including composite material and a reinforcement therein adapted to distribute a concentrated stress applied on the body to the composite material to prevent or reduce damages to the composite material. A method of manufacturing a reinforced composite panel adapted to be used in the construction of a utility cart adapted to be stowed in a bay of a galley of an airplane and locked in place with a lock disposed next to the bay in a position suitable to retain the utility cart in the bay by interfering with a reinforced edge of the utility cart is also provided.

Abstract: Is hereby provided a method of securing a plastic part to a composite structure, the method comprising providing a composite structure, performing at least one hole in the composite structure, providing a plastic part including a surface and at least one pin extending therefrom, the at least one pin being sized and designed to mate with the at least one hole to create a clamping force capable of temporarily securing the plastic part to the composite structure, applying bonding material between the surface and the composite structure to bond the surface to the composite structure, engaging the at least one pin with the corresponding at least one hole and adding pressure to engage the at least one pin with the corresponding at least one hole and spreading the bonding material between the plastic part and the composite structure, and curing the bonding material to permanently secure the additional part to the composite structure.
