  • Patent number: 6664996
Abstract: In a laser beam scanner of used for exposing a latent image on a photographic paper, intensities of the laser beams are maintained in predetermined range by compensating amplitude of driving signals supplied to acousto-optic modulators when intensities of the laser beams emitted from laser light sources are varied. The intensities of the laser beams passing through the modulators are sensed by photo sensors and compared with predetermined standard value. When any of the intensity of the laser beam is discrepant from the standard value, a difference between them is calculated and an optical modulation data for controlling the amplitude of the driving signal is compensated by subtracting the difference value from the standard value. Thereby, the amplitude of the driving signal of the modulator is compensated.

  • Patent number: 6552741
Abstract: An optical scanning device which performs an exposing operation with respect to a photosensitive material such as a printing sheet, etc., by scanning with laser beams in respective colors modulated according to image data is arranged so as to modulate light beams in respective colors projected from respective light sources of a red LD, a green-color SHG laser unit and a blue-color SHG laser unit by AOMs according to image data. Then, the clock frequency control section adjusts an exposure scanning clock for each of the AOM drivers for driving these AOMs individually. It is therefore possible to suppress an aberration in color caused by a shift in light beams in respective colors which are to be projected onto the same target position.

  • Patent number: 6542637
Abstract: An image scanning part scans, for example, a film with a CCD. Then it forms image data indicating an image on the film from the output of the CCD, and it outputs this image data to a computation control part. The computation control part inputs the image data from the image scanning part, temporarily memorizes this image data in an image memory, and based on the image data it decides whether a panoramic image is photographed in each picture frame. After a decision is made it then informs this decision result to a printing apparatus. The method and apparatus can also identify whether a plurality of picture frames of the film has a region with a predetermined density in a common location relative to the picture frames. The density of each picture frame can then be determined while excluding the region with the predetermined density in the common location of each of the plurality of picture frames.

  • Patent number: 6517055
Abstract: In a printing device which prints a color image on a photosensitive material by allowing an exposing head to modulate light from a light source for each pixel in accordance with image information, the exposing head is constituted by superposing three LCS's in the light-axis direction. The respective LCS's control the transmission and interruption of only the respective blue, green and red color components so that color tones in the respective pixels with respect to an image printed on printing paper are controlled based upon the subtractive color process. Therefore, it is possible to eliminate the generation of pixel offsets in an image printed on the photosensitive material by using a simple structure, and consequently to provide a printing device having a superior processability.

  • Patent number: 6496243
Abstract: A roller carrying mechanism and photographic processing device is presented where pressing rollers 82, 84 are shiftable between a press-contact position at which the pressing rollers 82, 84 are rotated as follows while sandwiching the photographic paper 2 between the driving rollers 81, 83 and a press-contact releasing position at which the pressing rollers 82, 84 are disposed away from the driving rollers 81,83. Since a belt 98 having a circular cross section is extended between the pulleys 96, 97, even when only one of two pressing rollers 82, 84 is at the press-contact position and is rotated in an interlocking manner with one pressing roller. Accordingly, an impact which is applied to the photographic paper 2 when the pressing roller 84 is brought into contact with the photographic paper 2 can be made small.

  • Patent number: 6486938
Abstract: A line exposure type image forming apparatus having a micromirror device 40 with numerous micromirrors 41 tiltable for reflecting light incident from a light source to a predetermined exposure position on a photosensitive material 2, and a sub-scan moving mechanism 8a for moving the photosensitive material relative to the exposure position. The micromirror device is disposed such that an imaginary line linking imaging positions on the photosensitive material of the micromirrors in a predetermined line is at an angle to a direction of relative movement of the photosensitive material. As a result, an exposure dot line is produced on the photosensitive material in a main scanning direction perpendicular to the direction of relative movement by a main scanning mirror set formed of micromirrors selected in a direction at an angle to a direction of the columns of the micromirror device.

  • Patent number: 6456359
Abstract: A PBS for guiding light from a light source to a DMD as light modulating means as well as for guiding light modulated by the DMD to photographic paper is provided on an optical path between the light source and the DMD. The DMD is arranged so that light from the PBS perpendicularly enters itself, and is equipped with a plurality of micromirrors which swing in accordance with image data. This arrangement allows optical components to be disposed so that an angle of incidence of light with respect to the DMD is 0°, thereby enabling tight layout of the light source section. In other words, there is no need to spread the optical components around the light modulating means like in the conventional cases where an angle of incidence with respect to the light modulating means is more or less required.

  • Publication number: 20020097384
Abstract: A plurality of LEDs are used as a light source for projecting light onto a film negative recording an original image. The LEDs have different respective spectral characteristics, and are provided so as to incline with respect to a light axis, so that light emitted thereby has directivity toward a light axis. By this means, the light emitted by each LED has directivity, thus increasing the light quantity of light projected onto peripheral areas of photographic paper. Accordingly, density unevenness and color unevenness on the photographic paper can be easily distinguished without scattering the light from each LED more than necessary, as was done conventionally. As a result, there is no need for control which attempts to obtain sufficient scattered light by increasing the exposure time or brightness of each LED. Further, there is no need to provide a large number of LEDs, thus simplifying control of the emitted light quantities of the respective LEDs.
