Abstract: A fishing lure having a reusable and interchangeable lure body is generally disclosed. The lure body can be changed without having to cut and retie the fishing line to the fishing lure. The fishing lure has two separate components that can be interchanged: the weighted hook and the lure body. A fishing line can be tied to the weighted hook. Different lure bodies can be affixed to the weighted hook to be fished.

Abstract: A fishing lure is generally provided that incorporates a hook stabilizing device that substantially holds the hook in place and hinder the hook from rotating while the lure is being fished. The hook stabilizing device is configured to accept the connection a fishing line to a hook, such as a crimp connection to an eyelet of a hook. Free rotation of the hook may be allowed after a fish is hooked when the connection of the line to the hook is removed from the hook stabilizing device while fighting the hooked fish.

More specifically, while the present invention is not limited to use with fish, certain embodiments of the present invention provide a tool that allows the user to grasp and hold a fish. In addition, certain embodiments of the present invention also provide for the weighing of a fish or another object held by the tool. Spring biased jaws apply a force to objects being held and this force increases as the weight of the objects being held increases.

The method includes the steps of providing a fishing line connector, providing a weight having a means for anchoring a fishing line connector, anchoring the fishing line connector to the weight, and molding a plastic body over the weight with the anchored fishing line connector.

Abstract: A fishing lure including an elongate body which has a minnow head simulating portion and an enclosed weight receiving cavity and weight therein, a spoon portion having a downward directed convex surface and an upward directed concave surface nested therein, and a conical transition surface connecting the upward directed side of the head to the concave surface of the spoon portion, along with a fish hook adjacent the spoon portion of the body. The hook may be rigid and have a weedless feature, or be a treble hook on a split ring. The lure has a rolling osscilation when pulled through the water and orients itself head down and hook upward when allowed to drop through the water.

Abstract: A compass design particularly for wrist mounted and hand held compasses which includes a first exterior, fluid tight case having a pair of pivot members respectively on the upper and lower surfaces thereof for rotatably mounting a second interior case member which second case member is provided with a horizontally pivotal magnet body which magnet body is permitted to move a predetermined degree with respect to a normal horizontal position to accommodate for magnetic inclination and which outer case is filled with liquid to place the inner case in substantial equilibrium between the pivot members such that the inner magnet bearing case will be substantially frictionally free to rotate in the outer case.The mounting for the magnet body within the inner case allows the magnet body to oscillate and therefore provide free movement even though the magnet is not held in a horizontal position.
