Abstract: A step-down spring seat assembly secured to a vibratory screen machine is configured to receive one or more universal adapter plate assemblies, to which one or more compression springs is secured. The universal adapter plate assemblies are secured to a top surface of the step-down spring seat assembly, and one or more spring guide castings are connected to the one or more universal adapter plate assemblies. Compression springs are positioned atop the spring guide castings, and are secured to a top adapter plate assembly that is connected to one or more universal adapter plate assemblies positioned above the one or more compression springs.
Abstract: A screen repair apparatus is disclosed for temporarily repairing holes or worn screen elements of screens used in gyratory or vibratory screening machines in the coal mining and rock quarrying industries. The apparatus is comprised of a flat plate which covers the damaged area of screen on the screen's top, a number of duplex jaws which are used to clamp the apparatus to the lower surface of the screen elements, and a clamping means, including an attachment rod which draws together the plate and duplex jaws on either side of the screen elements, thereby clamping the two to the screen. The screen repair apparatus also is comprised of a set of cauls, which are disposed between the clamping means and the upper surface of the plate and which distribute the force exerted by the clamping means across the face of the upper surface of the plate.
Abstract: An interlocking clamping system for the components of a sieve deck having a foraminated surface defined by rows of stainless steel profile wire held in laterally spaced relation to each other on transverse support rods for processing granular material. The interlocking clamping system eliminates the need for providing a heavy reinforced frame around each modular screen section by including as a part of the clamping system pairs of elongated retainer bars between longitudinal rows of modular screen sections. Each retainer bar receives and retains corresponding ends of the transverse support rods in a plurality of modular screen sections. Locking pins extend through sockets in the retainer bars to releasably connect the modular screen sections to an underlying base. The removal and replacement of individual screen sections is possible when desired without disturbing the other screen sections. A movable dam is provided with an effective seal to prevent leakage between adjacent screen sections.
