  • Patent number: 4958992
Abstract: Variable capacity swivelling vane pump, comprising a radially displaceable rotor (13) connecting eccentrically in a rotor cage (h) with guided vanes (15), which are rotatably supported in vane recesses (16) and on cage pins (14). The vanes (15) thus convert the rotor eccentricity (d) into a pivoting-propulsion movement. Furthermore, the rotor (13) rests on a hollow secondary shaft (7), which is mounted outside the pump casing in a bearing carrier (4) arranged in a horizontally movable manner. The rotor (13) is driven by means of the primary shaft (12) located in the hollow secondary shaft (7), the primary shaft being connected with the rotor cage (h). This structure has small oscillating masses, is versatile, easy to manufacture and assemble and operates with minimum frictonal losses and is free from bearing and sealing problems.

  • Patent number: 4927194
Abstract: An interlock mechanism is provided for a latch assembly which releasably secures upper and lower cowl sections of an outboard motor. The interlock mechanism is movable between a locking position and a release position, and is normally disposed in its locking position, such as by a coil spring. The interlock mechanism is mounted to the latch handle, which is pivotably mounted to one of the cowl sections. A hook is interconnected with the latch handle, and is engageable with a catch assembly provided on the other of the cowl sections. The interlock assembly normally engages a stationary engagement pin provided on one of the cowl sections, which prevents accidental pivoting movement of the latch handle. The interlock mechanism is manually movable to its release position, so that the latch handle can be pivoted so as to disengage the hook from the catch mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4861981
Abstract: An optoelectronic theodolite sensor contains in a frame, a cylindrical measurement cell half filled with an opaque liquid or entirely filled with two overlying immiscible liquids, each of which fills half of the cell, the first one being opaque and the other transparent to light. In the normal position of the measurement cell, the liquid or the interface between the two liquids forms with opaque side surfaces of the cell faces, an exact quadrant through which the light of a light source reaches an optoelectronic element located on the opposite side of the measurement cell. An angular displacement of the measurement cell causes a change in the intensity of the light reaching the optoelectronic element, which is converted and then applied as a function of the displacement angle .phi..
