    Abstract: A simple nonmetallic device allowing the gentle enclosure of a few hundred liters of water from discrete depths in flexible plastic bags for in situ time series studies. The disposable bags close without rigid moving parts, remain in situ and are pump sampled from the surface. The system is suitable for deployment at sea and for radio-tracer experiments.
