Patents Assigned to Nova-Werke AG
  • Patent number: 5154354
Abstract: A protective gas nozzle (6) and a gas feed channel (10) for the protective gas is arranged concentric around a spray jet nozzle (5). The protective gas nozzle (6) has a core hollow space (26) with a curved closing surface (9) at the rear end (8) of the nozzle (6). With this, the protective gas nozzle (6) with the gas feed channel (10) and the wall (13) lying opposite forms a nozzle channel (14) which at first extends radial and then about parallel between the gas feed channel (10) and the core hollow space (26).

  • Patent number: 5056414
Abstract: A linear drive comprises a hydraulic unit (1), a control valve (5) and an actuating drive (9) with an actuating member (7). These elements are interconnected by means of two inertia drive starters (4, 8), which results in a mechanically-induced return movement. The movement of the piston rod (15) of the hydraulic unit (1) is controlled in the actuating drive (9) by means of active elements (10, 35, 56) moved translationally in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the linear drive. The active elements (10, 35) and the actuating member (7) are connected without play in the axial direction but can counterrotate with respect to each other by means of a bearing (38). A lever (13) is arranged on the actuating member (7) and can be rotated together with the actuating member (7) about the axis (60). The lever (13) cooperates with a stop element (14) which can be adjusted by a rack (50) and which limits the rotation of the lever (13).

  • Patent number: 5036826
Abstract: The device consists of a rotor (4) which is arranged in a suction pipe (1) and rotatably supported. The rotor (4) includes a hollow jacket body (5) on the outer wall of which vanes (2, 3) are arranged. A nozzle holder (26) is guided through the end (10) of the jacket body (5) directed against the air stream, which holder bears the injection nozzle (9) and is connected at the rear end with the fuel feed line (8). The fuel jets (24, 25) coming out of the injection nozzle (9) are directed against the inner wall (20) of the jacket body (5). This forms, at the same time, the jacket surface of the core hollow space (6) which widens toward the open end (11) of the jacket body (5). At the open end (11) is a centrifuge ring (14) with a spray edge (23). The rotor (4) is set in rotation by the stream of air flowing in the direction of the arrows (30, 31), and mixes the fuel centrifuged from the spray edge (23) homogeneously with the air.

  • Patent number: 4986728
Abstract: A fuel injection pump has a housing (3) with a flange (5) and a bore (40) in which are arranged a sleeve (2) and a pump piston (1). A valve body (4) with a hollow core space (20) is located in an axial end portion of the sleeve (2). The valve body (4) has at both axial end portions (11, 12) hydraulic dampening means. In the zone of the top dead center of the pump piston (1), its head (13) cooperates directly with the axial end portion (11) of the valve body (4), actuating a valve seat (27). This valve seat (27) located between the valve body (4) and the sleeve (2) acts as a fuel intake and relief valve for the fuel delivery system. A fluid spring including a cylinder chamber (42) and an additional piston (44), as well as an actuating element (19), are located adjacent an axial end of the pump piston (1 ). The actuating element (19) is linked with a drive.

  • Patent number: 4907555
Abstract: A fuel injector (3) has a plunger (7) with an oblique control edge (12). The plunger (7) is driven by a drive unit (20) which is acted upon by fluid pressure separate from the fuel system. The plunger (7) is rotatable around its longitudinal central axis (8) by means of a setting device (60). A control device (31) regulates the inflow and outflow of fluid pressure to a double acting piston (22) of the drive unit (20). A signal for beginning an injection cycle is given by an electric pulse generator (40) or a control camshaft (61) of the control device (31). A return piston (34) of the control device (31) is acted on by fuel pressure and is connected through a line (33) with a pump chamber (6) of the fuel injector (3). At the end of the injection cycle the control edge (12) opens a passage (14) to pressure in the pump chamber (6 ) and a pressure surge acts through the line (33) on the return piston (34).

  • Patent number: 4878471
Abstract: A fuel injector (3) is driven by a fluid drive system (27) with a drive unit (28). Connected with the fluid drive system (27) is a first control device (38) which has main and auxiliary slides. The fluid in the fluid drive system (27) is independent of the fuel system. Return pistons (72, 74) of the first control device are connected with relief passages (11, 12) on the housing (4) of the fuel injector (3) and with a second control device (50). On the outer periphery of the plunger (7) of the fuel injector (3) are arranged several annular grooves (18, 19, 20) which are connected with the pump chamber (6). The annular grooves (18, 19, 20) cooperate with the relief passages (11, 12) and have control edges. At least one of the annular grooves (18) effects an interruption of the injection of fuel through the nozzle (1). Several valves (51, 53) in the second control device (50 ) regulate the pressure in the pump chamber (6) and control the inflow and outflow of fuel.
