The conveyor is configured to receive the strip in a substantially flat form at an infeed portion and wind it around a winding axis to define a cylindrical body (5) made of paper material, wherein the strip edges (2, 3) are facing each other and overlapping to define a mutually overlapping portion (4). The apparatus further comprises a winding body (11; 110) passing through a passage opening (14; 140) of the conveyor, and a constraining station (20; 201) configured to join the strip edges to define a straw.

Abstract: A container obtained by folding a single flat blank of paper sheet material includes a plurality of hollow elements joined to each other in one piece, each of the hollow elements including a base and a lateral wall; the lateral wall emerges from the base and defines with this latter a seat configured to receive at least one product. The present disclosure also describes a process of making the container and to a use of the same, and also to a package and process of making the same.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing straws includes the steps of predisposing a web or a discrete sheet of sheet material, wherein the web or discrete sheet extends between an end portion and tail portion; predisposing a winding body extending along an axis; completely winding the web or discrete sheet around the winding body for defining a cylindrical body of sheet material wherein the end portion and tail portion face each other for defining a mutual overlapping portion; and constraining the end portion to the tail portion in the mutual overlapping portion in order to define a straw extending between a first and second substantially circular free edges, wherein the mutual overlapping portion extends between the first and second free edges of the straw along a rectilinear direction.

Abstract: The present invention relates to biodegradable composites based on blends of a thermoplastic polymer material with cellulosic materials, useful for several industrial and packaging applications, in particular for the manufacture of biodegradable films and articles of complex shape, having improved mechanical properties, oxygen barrier properties, biodegradation and heat resistance; and to a process for the manufacture of these biodegradable composites.

A sealing layer (204) is coupled to the container in a position underlying the closing element (5). Abstract: A process for realizing a container from a foldable sheet comprises stages of at least partially inserting a closure element made of paper material (extensible paper) provided with a base wall and a lateral wall internally of a housing chamber of the container. The lateral wall of the closure element is inserted and located at a portion of the wall of the container. Also comprised is a stage of contemporary deformation of the lateral wall of the closure element and the portion of wall of the container in order to realize corresponding grooves on the parts, destined to define coupling and decoupling surfaces by rotation between the closure element and the container. The use of extensible paper advantageously enables easy realization of the coupling grooves by rotation.

The container has a side wall comprising, in section, at least one curvilinear stretch (10) for defining a rounded or convex conformation of the side wall. The method contemplates a first step for making the bottom wall (2) provided with an upper surface (2a) and a lower surface (2b), and a side wall (3) emerging from the bottom wall (2) in such a manner that in cooperation with said bottom wall it defines a holding region (21) whose bottom consists of said lower surface (2b), and a second step of overturning the side wall on the opposite side relative to the bottom wall (2) for defining a cavity (7) having an upwards facing opening in the normal use position of the container.

A predetermined quantity of the substance (15) is housed internally of the housing compartment (16) and the housing compartment (16) is hermetically closed by a closing film.

Abstract: A method has been conceived for the manufacture of containers in paper material for foodstuffs such as drinks, in particular hot drinks, comprising a bottom wall (2) and a lateral wall (3) arising from the bottom wall (2) and forming in cooperation with the latter a cavity (4) for containing the product; means (5) are also provided to allow the hand of a user to be thermally insulated with respect to the product contained in the cavity (4). The method comprises a step of turning the lateral wall (3) back outwards and downwards so that the material constituting the upper portion of the lateral wall of the preliminary container comes step by step to constitute the external strip (6).

On the outer edges of the baking-tin (1) where the edge itself intersects the fracture lines, provision is made for a plurality of engagement seats (8) enabling the baking-tin to be engaged by grasping elements carried by the automated transport means.
