Abstract: A vehicular door handle assembly for opening a vehicle door is provided and includes a chassis assembly having a forward end and a rearward end. The forward end includes an arm rotatable about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the chassis and the rearward end includes a rotatable bellcrank. The vehicular door handle assembly further includes a handle grip movable to an actuated position to open a vehicle door and the handle grip includes a forward end and a rearward end. The forward end includes a connection member to rigidly connect with the rotatable arm and the rearward end includes a plunger rotatably connected to the rear end door handle and is rotatably connected to the bellcrank.

Abstract: A vehicular door handle assembly for opening a vehicle door is provided and includes a door grip having a forward end and a rearward end, the door grip movable from a resting position where the vehicle door is latched to an actuated position where the vehicle door is unlatched. The assembly further includes a chassis assembly having a forward end and a rearward end. A rear end of the chassis assembly supports a bellcrank rotatably connected to the chassis and connected to the door grip. The bellcrank pivots between a resting position and an actuated position when the door handle is actuated. Further still, the assembly includes a moveable retaining element to retain the bellcrank in a serviceable position where the door grip can be connected to the bellcrank and to release the bellcrank to a functional position where the bellcrank rotates between the resting position and the actuated position.

Abstract: A door handle assembly is provided that includes a cover element and a grip element. The cover element is movable between a flush position where the cover element fills an opening and is flush with a visible face of an outer door panel, and a retracted position where the cover element is displaced inwardly from the opening and the grip element and outer door panel defines a finger access space to receive fingers of a user. The assembly further includes an actuator to move the cover between the flush and retracted position, a hand sensor attached to the grip element to detect the user's fingers, a detection device to cooperate with a complementary transmitting device to identify the user, a latching mechanism unlatch the vehicle door when fingers are detected by the hand sensor, and a control unit to control the hand sensor, detection device, latching mechanism, and actuator.
Abstract: A door handle assembly for a vehicle door is provided that includes: a housing assembly fixedly connected to an outer door panel of the vehicle door having a visible face defining an opening, a cover assembly having a cover and a grip element, the cover assembly is movable between a flush position where the cover element fills the opening and is flush with the visible face and a fully retracted position where the cover element is displaced inwardly from the opening, and the grip element and housing assembly defines an access space to receive fingers of a user, a displacement mechanism to move the cover assembly, and a pin connected to the housing assembly that interacts with a cam profile formed on an external surface of the cover assembly such that the cover assembly follows a path during movement from the flush to fully retracted position.
