  • Patent number: 11300021
Abstract: An exhaust system component includes a pipe having a pipe wall with an inner surface defining an exhaust gas passage and with an outer surface and a louver bridge portion formed in the pipe wall. The louver bridge portion has bridge ends transitioning from adjacent pipe wall portions to a bridge raised portion with raised side edges detached from adjacent opening side edges of the pipe wall. Each bridge side edge is radially outward of the adjacent opening side edge of the pipe wall to define a louver opening at each of two opposite sides of the louver bridge portion. Fluid communication through the two louvered openings, between the exhaust gas passage and an exterior of the component, attenuates resonant frequencies generated during operation of an exhaust system to which the exhaust system component is connected.

  • Patent number: 5001966
Abstract: An automobile windscreen clearing and cleaning system in which cleaning of the windshield is accomplished primarily by a high velocity, essentially laminar flow of air from a distributed lineal nozzle located adjacent the surface of the windscreen. In one specific emodiment a foil-shaped body of rigid but flexible material is bonded to the outsdie lower surface of the windshield to form a plenum which in turn defines a lineal nozzle from which air is emitted at high velocity to flow up and over the windshield surface for cleaning the windshield surface as well as to create an air curtain. A turbine or other high velocity high pressure air source carried by the vehicle supplies air to the plenum.

  • Patent number: 4756454
Abstract: An audio equipment carrier with built-in speakers for personal portable radios, tape players and the like. The carrier is adapted to be clamped or otherwise mounted on the handlebars of vehicles such as bicycles, tricycles, mopeds and motorcycles. The speakers project rearwardly from the handlebars toward the rider and are on opposite sides of a front control arm or stem. The carrier has a generally flat top and the audio equipment is held thereon by a releasable strap. A plug and leads provide electrical communication between the audio equipment and the speakers. The carrier may be equipped with a battery and audio amplifiers to enhance the sound produced by the audio equipment. A novel strap and buckle combination is also disclosed.
