Abstract: The voltages V of storage batteries Sa, Sb, . . . Sn are detected, and the voltage E of the battery unit 10 is detected. A defect in each storage battery is detected in accordance with the voltage V detected. An abnormal voltage of the battery unit 10 is detected in accordance with the voltage E detected. Further, the temperature T of the battery unit 10 is detected, on the basis of which the expiration of each storage battery is determined. The defect detected, the abnormal voltage detected, and the expiration determined are informed.
