    Abstract: A system for maintaining a constant terry height in forming a terry cloth despite loom stoppage, e.g., to correct yarn breakage. The system includes a proximity sensor which is positioned at a predetermined distance from a floating roller, and on the same side of the floating roller as a loading spring. The proximity sensor causes stoppage of an electric motor of the feed beam for the terry warp yarns which were previously driven in a forward direction by the electric control center. Upon sensing movement of the floating roller by a predetermined distance, the electrical control sensor causes motion inversion of the electric motor to reverse the movement of the feed beam for the terry warp yarns.

The coupling unit includes a ring fixed to the drive shaft and a first cover pivoted to the ring so that a key can enter into the recess of the modulator output shaft to rotatably couple the coupling unit to the modulator output shaft during its pauses. A second lever is biased so as to follow contours of a control cam and prevent the first key from entering the recess of the modulator output shaft.

The spring-loaded pushers can extend into the heddle frames, and are connected to one end of the links, with the links thus raised and lowered within the heddle frames while being slidingly supported by the slide guide. An advantageous cam drive can also be provided which allows for switching of the mode of the operation, to switch the type of weaving being performed by axially moving a shaft upon which cams of the cam drive are mounted.
