After a user utilizes an electronic device to indicate a recipe of interest, the invention identifies ingredients in the recipe, and provides a user with displayable information related to the ingredients. One or more functions are provided for a user to select from: altering the number of food servings for the recipe; toggling between metric and US measurements listed in the recipe; receiving a displayed dietary label for the food produced by said recipe.
