Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for displaying information at a traffic signal. The system includes a computer system coupled to the computer system controlling the traffic signal to time the display of information on a separate monitor located adjacent a traffic signal. The displayed information can include such things as advertising, notices of public interest such as an Amber alert, and/or upcoming traffic conditions. The timing of the displayed information is such as to not interfere with attention needed for a person to navigate through the traffic signal.
