Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of a fluid lubricant base comprising at least one biosourced and biodegradable compound having formula (I) in order to lubricate devices and/or machines, such as wind turbines, wherein said at least one compound having formula (I) corresponds to formula (I) in which R1, R2 and R3 are, independently, linear or branched saturated hydrocarbon groups comprising at least 16 carbon atoms, at least one group among R1, R2 and R3 comprises, on the hydrocarbon chain thereof, at least one ester group O—CO—R4, where R4 is a linear or branched alkyl radical comprising from 1 to 10 carbon atoms, preferably from 1 to 6 carbon atoms. The lubricant base has an acid number, in mg KOH/g measured according to the standard ISO 6618, which ranges from 0 to 0.5. The present invention further relates to a method for manufacturing the lubricant base as defined above and to the lubricant base thus obtained.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of a polyalkoxysiloxane base oil of formula (I) in which each R1 is independently a C1 to C4 alkyl group or a phenyl, each R2 is independently a C2 to C22 alkyl or alkenyl group or a phenyl, R3 is either a methyl group or a CH2 group connected to the other R3 group by a single bond, thus forming a ring in which the 2 terminal silicon atoms are connected by a CH2—CH2 bridge, x is an integer between 0 and 50, y is an integer between 1 and 500 and such that the ratio y/x is strictly greater than 0.5, or of a mixture of polyalkoxysiloxane base oils of formula (I), as a lubricating agent.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the preparation of estolide esters from a hydroxycarboxylic acid by a reaction of addition of a fatty acid to the hydroxyl function and by a reaction of esterification of the carboxylic acid function with an alcohol. The invention further relates to the use of estolide esters as a base oil in a lubricating composition or as an emollient in a cosmetic or pharmaceutical composition.

Abstract: The invention relates to the use of an oil that does not include tricresyl phosphate and includes as an anti-wear additive at least one diphosphorus compound for the prophylaxis of aerotoxic syndrome, especially in case of fume event. It also relates to the oil as such.
