  • Patent number: 4619571
Abstract: A method for the distribution of sheets, especially glued together sheets of paper, cardboard, corrugated cardboard and the like, from individual small sheet stacks. The method provides for alternating ones of small sheet stacks proceeding from a machine to be turned over one hundred and eighty degrees and returned to a conveyor belt. Thereafter, individual sheets of sequentially arriving small sheet stacks are delivered to a final loading station. The installation for performing the method comprises an endless conveyor belt having an endless loop formed in its top portion by three deflection rollers disposed between the front and rear guide rollers of the conveyor belt, one of the deflection rollers protruding upwardly through the feed plane of the conveyor belt. At the end of the conveyor belt a back-up rail is disposed thereabove to form an outlet slot therebetween, the width of which slot is controllable to provide stacking of individual sheets at the final station.

  • Patent number: 4541896
Abstract: A suction box coordinated with a dandy roll and serving the dehydration of paper webs features on its ends respective deckle slides wherein each deckle slide is of a design such that it elastically yields to the peripheral face of the dandy roll. Each deckle slide is wear-resistant and adaptable to varying dandy roll diameters and dipping depths. Thus, each deckle slide comprises a lamella package which extends with its longitudinal axis in the direction of web travel. The lamella package includes a plurality of parallel, rigid lamellae shiftable relative to one another and lying in respective planes extending generally perpendicular to the direction of web travel.

  • Patent number: 4190478
Abstract: A process and an apparatus for producing faced or laminated sheets, wherein a carrier web is provided and covering sheets are adhesively attached to the carrier web and the carrier web is then divided into individual faced sections. The carrier web is provided with spaced apart, transversely extending lines of perforations. The carrier web is an endless sheet of corrugated paper and adhesive is applied to the crested side of the corrugated paper. The covering sheets are mounted on the carrier web such that when the carrier web is torn along a line of perforations, at least one of the leading and trailing edges of the respective covering sheet for the torn off section of the carrier web projects beyond the adjacent line of perforations at the end of the torn off section of the carrier web. The covering sheets are either individual sheets or a continuous web which itself is provided with lines of perforations extending transversely across the covering sheet web.
