Abstract: The invention relates to a wheel (1) comprising a rim (2), a disc (3), a protective ring (4) with an outer surface (4a) and an inner surface (4b), and means (5) for fixing the ring (4) to the rim (2). To facilitate separation of the ring (4) from the rim (2), the protective ring (4) can be accessed from the inner surface (4b) through holes (8) made in the lip (2a) of the rim (2).
Abstract: A wheel (1) includes three parts: an outer rim (2), an inner rim (3), and a disc (4) joined by coach screws or stud bolts (18) directly screwed into the thickness of a wall (10) of the inner rim (3). The outer rim (2) is made from stamped light alloy plate, while the other parts are obtained by casting or other process. A portion of the outer rim (2) is compressed between the disc (4) and a portion of the inner rim (3).
Abstract: The device for connecting parts having holes with different center-to-center distances consists of a threaded connecting element, such as a bolt or a nut, and a bush whose internal diameter is greater than the diameter of the bolt shank or of a threaded shank associated to the the nut; if used for fitting vehicle wheels, a bolt may be inserted into the holes in the wheel, with the bush snapped onto the base of the bolt head from below, and the bolt then screwed into the corresponding threaded hole in the axle hub, the difference between the center-to-center distance of the holes in the wheel and that of the threaded holes in the vehicle axle hub being compensated by the play created by the difference between the diameter of the bush and that of the bolt.
