  • Patent number: 9833731
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure could generally provide a relatively easily squeezable beverage bottle that allows control of the flow rate of the liquid being dispensed to the user. The bottle could provide sufficient radial rigidity—or resistance to squeezing—to return to its original shape (or “bounce back”) at a suitable rate without experiencing permanent deformation or denting and to withstand the rigors of filling, shipping, transporting, dispensing, etc. The present disclosure generally provides a beverage bottle filtering system that provides adequate filtering of water taken from the bottle at a suitable rate. In one embodiment, the present disclosure could include a support system to adequately secure the filter media within a filter housing while ensuring a sufficient compression fit and seal of filter media within filter system to eliminate “bypass flow” (i.e., water that might leak past filter system) and prevent consumption of unfiltered water.

Abstract: Freezing and desorption method by inert gas for the separation of non-volatile and volatile aromatic compounds from wine raw material, particularly the aromatic compounds determining the aroma and flavor of final products, and the subsequent blending of fractions for the preparation of beverages with the required parameters. It is thus possible to prepare non-alcoholic (<0.5% vol. alc.) and low alcoholic (<5% vol. alc.) beverages with non-volatile and volatile aromatic compounds comparable to their content in the original wine raw material, which is not possible by the individual utilization of the given methods. By utilization of this solution it is possible to prepare also alcoholic beverages with alcohol levels higher than 5% vol.

  • Patent number: 9827796
Abstract: A printhead cleaning system includes a wiper assembly configured for putting a printhead wiper in contact with the printhead. A solvent container is configured for providing solvent to the printhead wiper. A lateral feed mechanism is coupled to the printhead and the wiper assembly, and is configured for driving the wiper assembly in reciprocating motion along the printhead. The cleaning cycle can be started when a predetermined condition (such as a number of operations) is reached. A method for printhead cleaning can include starting a cleaning cycle by lifting a printhead from a printing position once a number of printing operations reaches a predetermined value, and transporting a cleaning assembly along the printhead for a predetermined time duration or number of passes, while providing contact between the cleansing applicator and the printhead.

  • Patent number: 9826751
Abstract: Food products and systems and methods for their production involve microfiltration (“MF”) of fluid skim to form a MF retentate, combining the MF retentate with cream and subjecting the combination to ultrafiltration (“UF”) to form a UF retentate. Prior to UF, the composition is formed of non-acidified components. Following UF, the UF retentate is acidified and forms a food product including a high solids content. The solids content may be further increased using evaporation. The resulting cheese or cheese base contains a lower whey protein ratio in a fat:casein:whey protein ratio compared to systems and methods that do not employ MF.

Abstract: A scanning electron microscope comprises three objective lenses, including a distant objective lens and a close objective lens, which are of conventional type, and an immersion objective lens of the immersion type below the distant objective lens and the close objective lens. These three objective lenses can be controlled independently, therefor different combinations of active objective lenses can be achieved. The scanning electron microscope therefore offers various imaging modes. There is a possibility to switch between these imaging modes and therefore, choose the most suitable way of imaging for given application.
