Abstract: A self-loading shotgun includes a lock movable inside a lock housing between an open position and a closed position, a barrel, a magazine disposed below the barrel, a lock catch for holding the lock in the open position, and a feeder system for lifting a cartridge delivered from the magazine to the height of the barrel. The feeder system includes a feeder that swivels about a transverse axis and a magazine hatch that interacts with the lock catch. To allow the self-loading shotgun to be fully loaded even when the lock is open, the swivel movement of the feeder generated by the lock is controlled by a control element separate from the lock catch.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and system for monitoring on route transportations. The method includes obtaining a driving route of a target vehicle; obtaining a reference position on the driving route away from a first current position of the target vehicle; determining a second current position of the target vehicle after a reference time; determining a distance between the second current position and the reference position is greater than a preset distance; and sending a signal to a target terminal indicating that the target vehicle is off-route.

Abstract: According to certain embodiments, a vibration-isolating case comprises a resilient, plastic-composite walled case and vibration-damping footing located at the bottom side of the case. Each vibration-damping footing comprises a mounting plate, cushions, and a damping system. The mounting plate has a flat surface and side surfaces extending from the flat surface to form a channel-shaped structure. The flat surface is positioned proximate a bottom outer surface of the case and couples to at least one brace within the case. The cushions are positioned within the channel-shaped structure such that the side surfaces of the mounting plate protect at least a top portion of each cushion. The damping system is positioned between the cushions and comprises a tray containing a quantity of inelastic particulate. A mechanical path exists between the vibration-damping footing and a platform mounted within the case.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for determining an estimated time of arrival (ETA) for a route, based on a model of ETA. The systems may perform the methods to obtain a first electrical signal associated with at least one route having at least one road section; generate and save first structured data of at least one global feature vector and at least one historical duration associated with the at least one route based on the first electrical signal; generate second structured data of a model of ETA by training the model based on the at least one global feature vector and the at least one historical duration; and save the second structured data of the model of ETA in the at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium.

Abstract: A system for monitoring the percentage of stretch of a stretch wrap film in a stretch wrapping machine includes a first sensor associated with the stretch wrap roll and configured to generate a first signal as the film travels from the roll to the pre-stretch roller assembly, and a second sensor associated with the load and configured to generate a second signal as the film is wrapped around the load. A processor is operable to: a) calculate a pre-stretch length of the film based on the first signal during a time interval; b) calculate a stretched length of the film as the film is wrapped around the load on the rotating platform during the time interval; and c) calculate a percentage stretch of the film based on the pre-stretch length and said stretched length.

Abstract: Provided are a liquid crystal compound satisfying at least one of physical properties such as high stability to heat or light, a high clearing point (or high maximum temperature), low minimum temperature of a liquid crystal phase, small viscosity, large optical anisotropy, large negative dielectric anisotropy, a suitable elastic constant and good compatibility with other liquid crystal compounds, a liquid crystal composition containing the compound and a liquid crystal display device including the composition. Abstract: A controllable electronic switch for, e.g., controlling power distribution comprises a deformable member such as a bimetal arm that can be deformed to break an electrical path. The deformable member may be anchored at one end and in controllable contact with an electrical conductor at the other end. A heating element, such as a coil, can be used to selectively heat the deformable member. The controllable electronic switch can alternatively comprise a deformable member that is terminated in a wedge-shaped member. When the deformable member bends in response to being heated, the wedge-shaped member forces apart a pair of contacts thus breaking an electrical path. The wedge-shaped member and/or associated structures may be configured as a cam mechanism with multiple latching positions.

Dual channel encoder sensor configured to detect rotation direction and encoder count and output signal representing encoder count. Encoder count is number of circumferentially spaced line pairs that pass by dual channel encoder sensor as pinch arm and encoder rotate. Processor is communicatively coupled to dual channel encoder sensor and configured to receive signal and calculate print media thickness of portion from encoder count using conversion factor.

Abstract: A secure programming system can receive a job control package having a security kernel and a target payload of content for programming into a pre-defined set of trusted devices. A device programmer can install a security kernel on the trusted devices and reboot the trusted devices using the security kernel to validate the proper operation of the security kernel. The target payload can then be securely installed on the trusted devices and validated.

Abstract: A cover mechanism comprises a support frame with base supports and a multi-part expandable cover engaged with the base supports by grappling members or other means. The expandable cover may have a pliable exterior cover and a set of integral ribs, the expandable cover being foldable when not deployed and being expandable to form a self-supporting structure when deployed. The base supports may provide a sliding track for the grappling members to facilitate expansion of the cover. The base supports may be adapted to rest on the ground or buoyant so that the cover can be used with watercraft. The expandable cover may be deployed by pivoting it from a folded position to an upright position, sliding the cover along the base support tracks, and pivoting the cover from the front of the base supports downwards, forming an enclosure thereby.

The measurement unit (20) operates to perform, using a terminal measurement procedure for executing a first terminal measurement corresponding to radio access technology applied to the radio communication system (100), a second terminal measurement of a shared frequency shared by a plurality of radio systems including the radio communication system (100). This embodiment therefore contributes to simplification of a measurement function which should be supported by the radio terminal when the radio communication system uses a shared frequency (e.g., TVWS) shared by the plurality of radio systems.

Abstract: A system and method for the continuous production of brown butter involves concentrating butter while retaining solids non-fat in the butter, and continuously transferring and heating the concentrated butter to cause the solids non-fat in the butter to react in a maillard reaction to form a brown butter product. The system may use one or more of a heating vessel, an evaporator and a reaction vessel to form the brown butter in the continuous process. A brown butter product derived from butter includes reacted solids non-fat particulates from a maillard reaction suspended by nascent fat crystals nucleated about the reacted solids non-fat particulates and by large fat crystal structures joined to the nascent fat crystals.

Abstract: A compact printer having improved operational features is disclosed. The printer includes an articulating print frame assembly coupled to a top cover that is adapted to rotate out of the top cover to an open position and to rotate into the top cover to a closed position. When the print frame is in an open position, the top cover is prevented from rotating toward the bottom housing to a closed position. The print frame includes a ribbon guide bar that facilitates loading of ribbon and media. The disclosed printer also includes a fixed or adjustable media sensor, and is configurable to accommodate an internal supply of web (roll) media or an external supply of fanfold media.

Abstract: A mobile helicopter landing pad comprises a platform with one or more elongate, concave guiding channels for aligning a helicopter on the landing pad by forcing the helicopter's skates into a specific alignment upon landing. The guiding channels may have laterally disposed rollers or else be made of slick material to allow the helicopter to slide towards the base of the guiding channel under the helicopter's own weight. Additional crosswise rollers at the bottom of the guiding channel(s) may be provided to allow the helicopter to be moved forward or backward after landing. A blade locking arm swings upward and secures the top rotor. The pad may include a foldable enclosure that protects the helicopter after landing, and an electronic guidance system that assists the pilot during landing by providing instructions to the pilot or visual indications of the prevailing wind direction and velocity, through illuminated signals on the platform.

Abstract: Systems and methods for comparing different models of printers are provided. According to one embodiment, a system for comparing printers includes at least one web portal configured to receive a user's selection of two models of printers to be compared. The system further includes a printer analysis server configured to receive the user's selection via a first network. A plurality of sample printers is connected to the printer analysis server via a second network. The printer analysis server is configured to establish communication with two sample printers of the plurality of sample printers, the two sample printers corresponding to the two selected printer models. The printer analysis server is further configured to provide a data stream of print commands to the two sample printers and analyze print output results from the two sample printers, wherein the print output results may then be provided to the user.

Abstract: A method for facilitating the configuration, resource installation, and direct printing of print jobs to a printer device from a host system that may not require installation of drivers or host software is described. The printer device is coupled to a host system via a universal serial bus (USB) interface. The printer device presents to the host system a USB mass storage profile that includes one or more smart folders. The printer device receives from the host system a data file and stores the data file in one of the one or more smart folders causing a corresponding action event to automatically be triggered in the printer device. The corresponding action events may include setting-up a printer configuration, printing a print file or image file, installing a font file or an image file, and installing a firmware upgrade.
