    Abstract: A recessed lighting fixture, comprising a non-metallic housing having a central opening adapted to receive an LED lamp therethrough. The housing is formed of a front-facing trim ring surrounding the central opening and a rear portion coupled to a rear of the trim ring about the LED lamp. The rear portion includes at least two peripheral flanges that extend backward from the trim ring and terminate in a spring-clip support. A spring clip is coupled to each of the spring clip supports and is rotatably biased toward a front of the housing to bear against a backside of a recessed opening when the housing is inserted into the recessed opening and when the trim ring bears against a frontside of the recessed opening.

    Abstract: The freezing point of a liquid in a chilled liquid containment system is decreased by the addition of a mixture of sodium nitrite and sodium nitrate. Solutions of nitrite/nitrate in a ratio of 1.0:1 to 3.0:1 at a concentration of at least 25% lowers the freezing point of water to as low as ?33° C. or lower, permitting water to remain liquid well below its ambient freezing point and preventing pipes containing the nitrite/nitrate solution from bursting when exposed to subzero temperatures. This allows liquids to remain liquid at much lower temperatures than normal, allowing the circulation of the liquids at lower temperatures and protecting their containment systems from the damage that could occur when the liquids freeze into their solid state while within the containment systems.

    Abstract: The present disclosure describes a multi-mode headset incorporating both bone conduction and aural transducers. Bone conduction plates of the headset rest on a users' temples, just in front of each ear in one implementation, and create sound through vibrations in a first mode, allowing the user to listen to the headset while still leaving environmental or external sounds audible. In a second mode, the user detaches aural transducers or earbuds from an attachment point and inserts them into the user's ears, blocking external noise and providing passive and/or active noise isolation. In a third mode, both the bone conduction plates and aural transducers may be used simultaneously, providing additional amplitude and potentially wider frequency response. The headset may include a switch, such as a magnetic proximity sensor detecting the position of the aural transducers, to control a mixer or amplifier to re-route audio through the aural transducers.

The solid pellet maintains its structural rigidity up to a transition temperature (Tf), but further has improved overshoot temperature ranges. Therefore, the improved thermal pellets have a maximum dielectric capability temperature (Tcap), above which the pellet composition may lose substantial dielectric properties and conducts current that is at least 160° C. greater than the Tf. The aging performance is further enhanced. Further, methods of enhanced processing and pelletizing are provided.
