Publication number: 20110246671Abstract: Methods, systems and computer-readable medium are provided for selecting and ordering pathways identified between two selected nodes of a hybrid network. Nodes within the network have named relationships that may have 1:1, 1:many, many:1 or many:many cardinality. An algorithm is applied to predetermine the optional search path for finding relationships between any two rows of any of one or more tables of one or more relational databases, including relationships defined between other tables. The schemas of one or more target relational databases, either derived or input, is converted into an object-oriented schema that explicitly defines relationships between columns in the tables of the relational database and represents the tables as object classes. The schemas are analyzed and optimal search paths are derived and stored for subsequent use.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 3, 2010Publication date: October 6, 2011Applicant: Objectivity, Inc.Inventor: LEON GUZENDA

Patent number: 7761475Abstract: Apparatus, system, method and computer-readable media for organizing a listing of key pairs to increase the likelihood that key pairs more likely to satisfy database queries will be examined in the course of the query execution before key pairs that are less likely to satisfy a database query.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 2007Date of Patent: July 20, 2010Assignee: Objectivity, Inc.Inventor: Scott Warren Miller

Patent number: 7752175Abstract: A system, method and computer-readable media are provided for repairing corrupted data related to a software database. An electronic information technology system includes (1.) a logical page index; (2.) a free page map; and (3.) a computer-readable medium. The logical page index includes a plurality of logical page index pairs, each logical page index pair having a logical page number and a physical page location address of the computer-readable medium that reference a same record. The database system also includes a means to detect a logical page index pair having a logical page number and a physical page location that are not referencing a same record, and another means to search for a free page map entry that references the physical page address of the record referenced by the logical page index pair.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2007Date of Patent: July 6, 2010Assignee: Objectivity, Inc.Inventor: Robert Cheong

Patent number: 7681926Abstract: A union for coupling two or more segments of tubing or optical fiber, having an elastomeric core with two or more tubular sections encased in a through bore of a union body, the ends of the union body bore having compression nuts having through bores for insertion of segments of tubing or optical fiber to be coupled, which, tubular sections, when compressed by the compression nuts, deform radially inwardly to hold and seal the segments of tubing or optical fiber inserted therein.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 2006Date of Patent: March 23, 2010Assignee: New Objective, Inc.Inventors: Gary A. Patent number: 7634499Abstract: A system and method for repairing software database corruption are provided. The corruption may be due to an object being associated with an invalid type number. The information of an object with invalid type can become effectively or actually beyond retrieval and the data may be lost. The invention uses a computer to gather attributes of the corrupted object, e.g., object size. The computer then looks in the schema “type number” repository for type numbers associated with the same attributes as they are for the instant object. The object may then be organized presented by the computer to a user using a schema associated with a matched type number. Then the user may select a type number to replace the corrupted or invalid type number of the instant object.Type: GrantFiled: January 6, 2007Date of Patent: December 15, 2009Assignee: Objectivity, Inc.Inventor: Aziz Ahmad

Patent number: 6744046Abstract: A feedback control system for an electrospray nozzle and counter-electrode, comprising a source of light which intersects, one or snore of the liquid cone, jet and plume of the fluid exiting the nozzle, one or more photo detectors to detect light patterns and generate photo-electronic signals in response thereto, an electronic detection and amplification system to convert the photo-electronic signals to electronic signals, a computer or micro-processor to interpret said electronic signals and a second computer or microprocessor to communicate with the first computer and generate a signal to a controller which adjusts the electric field surrounding the nozzle either by changing the distance between the nozzle and counter-electrode or changing the voltage of the nozzle or counter-electrode.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2002Date of Patent: June 1, 2004Assignee: New Objective, Inc.Inventors: Gary A. Patent number: 6690006Abstract: A method for the coupling of a plurality of sample streams eluting from a plurality of High Pressure Liquid Chromatography columns into a single inlet mass spectrometer, wherein samples from individual chromatography columns are suppled to individual electrospray nozzles in an array of a plurality of electrospray nozzles positioned in front of said single inlet, each nozzle being switchable to an on or off state, and each nozzle being supplied by a sample supply tube or channel and having, in addition to said sample supply tube or channel, a separate fluid removal tube or channel, and wherein each nozzle, when in the off state, is held at a voltage that is between the voltage of the mass spectrometer inlet and the electrospray threshold value for that nozzle.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 2002Date of Patent: February 10, 2004Assignee: New Objective, Inc.Inventor: Gary A. Patent number: 6395183Abstract: Method for loading a capillary channel with a packing material to form a capillary column which comprises placing a first frit on a first capillary channel, forcing a slurry of a solid packing material in a liquid through said first channel so that the liquid, but not the solid packing material, passes through the frit and out of the capillary channel, to form a first bed of packing material within said first capillary channel and adjacent to the frit; thereby forming a pre-pack column, then removing the frit and joining the pre-pack column to an empty second capillary channel and attaching a second frit to the end of said second channel, then forcing a liquid into the end of pre-pack column, so that the liquid passes through the pre-pack column, mobilizing the packing therein and carrying it into the second capillary channel, where the liquid, but not the packing material, passes through the frit and out of said second channel, whereby said packing forms a packed bed in the second column; then separating theType: GrantFiled: January 24, 2001Date of Patent: May 28, 2002Assignee: New Objectives, Inc.Inventors: Gary Valaskovic, Emily E. Patent number: 5794030Abstract: A method and system for use with object oriented databases provides schema evolution with deferred propagation of schema changes. The method and system provide a schema that persistently maintains class objects by storing an initial class definition, and shape objects associated with particular class objects and storing subsequent class definitions. The shape objects associated with a particular class object form a shape chain, the last shape object in the shape chain being the current shape object, and maintaining the current class definition. Client objects representing actual instances of data in the database, are instantiated from whichever client object or shape object is current at the time of instantiation, so the all newly created client objects always have the current class definition.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 1995Date of Patent: August 11, 1998Assignee: Objectivity, Inc.Inventors: Magdi Morsi, James Rucker
