Abstract: A method for making a color transform for an output device is provided. The color transform represents a correspondence relation between a first and a second color space. Each of the two color spaces involves a number of color channels and the color channels of the second color space control the colorants in the output device. An excess relation for the color channels of the color space associated with the output device is established and only color points in the second color space wherefor a sum of the excess values related to the color point is lower than a predetermined limit, are included in the color transform. This enables to adapt the shape of a color gamut to a behavior of the colorants and enhances the flexibility in making a color transform for various print processes.
Abstract: A method of forming an array of piezoelectric actuators on a membrane (18) which includes the steps of preparing a piezoelectric comb-like structure having an array of islands that are integrally connected by a continuous top portion and that form piezoelectric layers of the actuators, the islands having an electrode at a bottom side, attaching the comb-like structure with its bottom electrode to a surface of the membrane, removing the continuous top portion of the comb-like structure to thereby separate the actuators from one another, and forming top electrodes on the top surfaces of the piezoelectric layers of the actuators.

Abstract: An imaging station for processing a media includes a media output for outputting a processed media, a first media delivery station having a first media entrance, a second media delivery station having a second media entrance, and a passive urging device. The second media entrance has a width smaller than a width of the first media entrance. The second media entrance is positioned downstream from the media output and upstream from the first media entrance. The passive urging device is positioned downstream from the media output such that the media is urged towards the second media entrance.
Abstract: A method for executing a print process on a printing apparatus that is provided with a print engine, a local user interface unit and a control unit includes receiving a cancel instruction via the local user interface unit and cancelling an active print process of a print job executed according to image-processing attributes. The method further includes receiving an instruction via the local user interface unit to modify the image-processing attributes of the print job, converting the print job according the modified image-processing attributes into a raster image and activating a print process of the print job according to the modified image-processing attributes. A printing apparatus for performing the method includes a print engine, a local user interface and a control unit.
