Abstract: This invention relates to a turbine for extracting energy from an oscillating working fluid. The turbine includes a housing defining a flow passage for the working fluid. An energy conversion unit is disposed in the housing. Flow control means is selectively movable to occlude a predetermined portion of the flow passage such that the working fluid is directed to act on a certain section of the energy conversion unit.

Abstract: A turbine rotor assembly for extracting energy from an oscillating working fluid. The turbine rotor assembly includes a hub rotatable about a central axis. A plurality of blades is mounted to the hub about the central axis. Each blade has a leading edge and a trailing edge which are configured to be complementary in profile to each other such that the blades can be mounted in close fitting edge-to-edge proximity to each other.
Abstract: An offshore platform includes a support structure for supporting a workstation in a body of water at an offshore location. The support structure has a mounting formation and at least one duct is mounted to the mounting formation. The duct is configured to receive an oscillating water column from the body of water wherein oscillations of the oscillating water column generate a fluid flow for driving an energy extraction module.
