    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a smart animal capture device and system capable of determining whether an animal that has triggered a motion sensor is a desired target animal by taking a photograph and performing image recognition against an image database with images of the target animal species. The device is in wireless communication with a server and can thus be monitored and controlled remotely via a user device such as a mobile phone.
