Patent number: 11724627Abstract: A flexible tank is used to transport bulk liquids or semi-liquid materials inside of a multi-modal shipping container. It has water proof inner layers and an outer layer, which are formed and welded together to have seams at both ends of the flexible tank. A discharge valve is provided at one end of the flexible tank and an additional piece of material, referred to as a cape, is attached at the other end of the flexible tank. The flexible tank is situated in the container so that the end with the discharge valve is at the container opening and the end with the attached cape is at the rear of the container. The cape can be used by equipment positionable at the opening of the container to completely discharge the bulk liquids or semi-liquid materials from the flexible tank by pulling and winding up the cape and the layers of the flexible tank from the rear of the container.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 2017Date of Patent: August 15, 2023Assignee: Odyssey Logistics & Technology CorporationInventors: Roger Goose, Douglas Postek

Patent number: 10858178Abstract: A flexible tank has an inner tank and at least one end closure with alternating interlaced hollow loops from two separate exterior layers. A nylon rope or similar securing element is passed through the hollow loops to use the exterior layers in an end closure to constrain the inner tank. An end flap may be welded to an exterior layer and positioned between the inner tank and the end closure. The hollow loops may be formed by folding over the exterior layers and cutting out complementary portions so the loops are in an alternating interlaced pattern.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2018Date of Patent: December 8, 2020Assignee: Odyssey Logistics & Technology CorporationInventors: Roger G Goose, Douglas B Postek

Patent number: 6915268Abstract: A logistics system manages the shipments of goods supplied from a plurality of different shippers by a plurality of carriers. It has a variety of modules integrated with each other to perform various functionalities. For example, it may have a purchasing module evaluating proposals by shippers for respective shipments of goods and awarding contracts for the shipments to the plurality of carriers. It may have an optimization module analyzing the proposals and informing the purchasing module if an opportunity exists for at least some of the shipments to be consolidated, in which case at least one contract awarded by the purchasing module is for a consolidated group of the shipments. It may have a contract administration module maintaining information relating to the status of proposals received and contracts awarded by the purchasing module. It may have a scheduling module scheduling shipments according to the awarded contracts.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 2001Date of Patent: July 5, 2005Assignee: Odyssey Logistics & Technology CorporationInventors: Glenn E.
