The wireless network interface is also configured to receive a wireless command in a first format. The wireless command is configured to control the power supply. Moreover, the wireless network interface is configured to convert the wireless command from the first format to a second format. The welding-type system also includes a wired transceiver configured to transmit the converted wireless command across a power delivery cable to the power supply. Furthermore, the welding-type system includes power terminals configured to receive power from the power supply at a level based at least in part on the transmitted wireless command.
Abstract: A methodology is described for the synthesis of polyolefin containing block-copolymers using a catalytic postpolymerization modification strategy. Common polyolefin grades may be converted into macroinitiators using a cross-metathesis reaction. The functionalized polyolefins may then be used to initiate living: coordinative ring opening polymerization of cyclic ester monomer, anionic ring opening polymerization of epoxide monomer, and radical polymerization of vinylic monomer, to yield the corresponding block copolymers.

Abstract: Methods and devices for control for an automated welding system are provided. Disclosed control methods may include receiving a data set including one or more features of a joint to be welded and receiving a weld procedure for the joint to be welded. The weld procedure for the joint is determined based on a sample virtual weld performed by an operator, a stored procedure developed for a substantially similar weld joint, or a combination thereof. The method may further include determining one or more desired changes to the weld procedure based on the received features of the joint to be welded and generating an updated weld procedure by altering one or more parameters of the received weld procedure in accordance with the one or more desired changes, wherein the one or more parameters are included within a predetermined allowable data set.

Abstract: A microwave heating device and a method for operating a microwave heating device to heat a product inside a heating chamber includes at least two radiating portions that are adapted to radiate microwaves to the heating chamber and can be operated according to a plurality of operational configurations that differ in frequency or phase shift(s) between the radiated microwaves. A learning procedure can be executed by sequentially operating the radiating portions in several operational configurations for which energy efficiency data are calculated. An operating frequency can be selected via an algorithm that optimizes a mathematical function based on energy efficiency data. An operational configuration with a maximum energy efficiency at the selected operating frequency may be taken as a reference.
