Abstract: A method for isolating conalbumin as used for strongly interbinding metals, such as iron and copper. According to the method, the white of egg is caused to pass through chelating ions coordinated to metal ions of the transition group at a pH buffered between 3 and 6. Then the mass is caused to pass through an active component for the conalbumin-metal complex, the conalbumin being finally isolated therefrom.
