    Abstract: A method for reinforcing a concrete structure is disclosed in which the steps of (a) applying to a long fiber prepreg an adhesive, (b) attaching on the surface of the concrete structure the long fiber prepreg with the adhesive interposed between the surface of the concrete structure and the long fiber prepreg, and (c) curing the thermosetting resin at an ambient temperature are performed. The long fiber prepreg has as a matrix a thermosetting resin with a curing temperature of 70.degree. C. or above. The adhesive has a curing temperature of from 10.degree. to 40.degree. C., and accelerates the curing of the thermosetting resin impregnated in the long fiber prepreg.

    Abstract: In this power control apparatus, a current flowing in a main current (201) is detected by a current transformer (202) and a zero-phase current transformer (203), provided in the main circuit. A value of this current is provided to a CPU (214) included in an intelligent controller (207). A maximum peak value and the like are evaluated by the CPU to be compared with predetermined set values. If those values are equal to or higher than the set values, an excitation signal is applied to a tripping device (205) to release a latch by a latch scheme (206) and thus to trip the circuit breaker. The CPU alters the set value when supplied with a setting alteration instruction from a central monitor (40), and causes the circuit breaker to be tripped when supplied with a stop instruction therefrom.

    Abstract: A seismic isolator for absorbing earthquake vibrations is provided which comprises a laminated member arranged to be interposed between a structure and a foundation, the laminated member comprising thin steel sheets having concavities and convexities extending in a single direction, flexible sheets stacked alternately with the steel sheets, and upper and lower end plates, all these sheets and plates being unitarily and fixedly bonded together. The upper and lower end plates are fixed to the structure and the foundation, respectively, in such a manner that the concavities and convexities extend in a direction in which earthquake vibrations are to be isolated from the structure. The seismic isolator of the present invention is particularly suitable for use with a bridge.
