Abstract: A crawler belt for use on a crawler motor vehicle has an elongate belt body drivable in a predetermined direction, and a plurality of ridges mounted on a ground contact side of the belt body, each of the ridges having at least one sipe defined in a free end thereof for allowing the ridge to be flexibly deformable in a direction opposite to the predetermined direction. Each of the ridges has a plurality of sipes defined therein and extending longitudinally thereof or substantially perpendicularly to the predetermined direction. The ridges comprise a plurality of chevron-shaped ridges pointing toward the predetermined direction and succesively arranged at predetermined spaced intervals in the predetermined direction. The ridges are divided into a plurality of groups each including a plurality of ridges by grooves extending transversely of the belt body, and divided into a plurality of segments by at least one longitudinal groove extending longitudinally of the belt body.
Abstract: A tire anti-skid device comprises a mounting member removably mounted on a side surface of a wheel of an automobile in such a manner as to be coaxial with the wheel; a plurality of arms made of elastic bodies, which radially extend from the mounting member; ground-contact portions each being formed by bending the leading edge of each of the arms, which are intended to be brought in contact with a tire tread surface; a ground-contact ring for connecting the adjacent ground-contact portions with each other, which is intended to be brought in contact with the tire tread surface; and reverse portions each being formed at a junction portion between the arm and the ground-contact portion, which are intended to reverse the ground-contact portions in such a manner that the inner surfaces in contact with the tire tread surface becomes the outer peripheral surfaces.
Abstract: A radial tire including at least one carcass layer extending from one of a pair of bead cores to the other bead core and composed of cords arranged radially of the tire, a belt layer provided over the crown portion of the carcass layer radially outwardly of the tire, and a bead filter rubber portion positioned on each bead core and extending radially outwardly of the tire, the carcass layer having opposite ends folded over the respective bead cores from the bead toe side toward the bead heel side, forming return portions, at least one of the return ends portion being positioned radially outwardly of the radial outer end of the bead filler rubber portion. The tire has a reinforcing layer of organic fiber having a bias angle of 40 to 60 degrees and adhered to the inner side of the bead filter rubber portion, the reinforcing layer extending along the filler rubber portion from a position radially inwardly of the bead core, and a rubber cushion having 0.5 to 1.
