Abstract: A retractable top is disclosed for off-road vehicle such as Jeep® Wrangler® and CJ® brand vehicles. The top includes a frame and a fabric cover designed to cover and move with the frame. The frame includes a base plate that is secured to the belt rail surrounding the rear compartment of the vehicle. The top is deployable between a stowed configuration folded upon itself over the rear compartment of a vehicle and a deployed configuration covering the passenger and rear compartments of the vehicle. During deployment, the top unfolds in a substantially vertical direction over the rear compartment substantially to its full extent. This avoids collision with the rear doors and roll bars of the vehicle. Once so deployed, the entire top pivots downwardly into place covering the passenger and rear compartments of the vehicle.

A pair of first mounting locations having associated mounting holes are located on the front face of the center base adjacent its ends and a pair of second mounting locations having associated mounting holes are located on the top face adjacent the ends of the center base. A pair of third mounting locations are located on the ends of the center base. A plurality of optional accessories including end plates, end extenders, an overrider, a prerunner, a stinger, and D-rings are selectively mountable to the center base, all via the first, second, and third mounting locations. The system also includes a rear bumper assembly mountable to the back of the vehicle and having a hinged spare tire carrier and D-rings selectively attachable to the rear bumper via common fourth mounting locations.

Abstract: A vehicle floor tray has a base, upstanding side walls, a forward panel, and an aft wall that define a basin for confining liquid such as water, mud, and slush. An array of spaced apart chevron-shaped treads project upwardly from the base. The chevron-shaped treads are arranged in adjacent rows and the treads in each row are oriented in a direction opposite from the direction of orientation of the treads in adjacent rows. Further, each row of treads is shifted or staggered with respect to adjacent rows by a distance substantially equal to half the length of a tread plus half the distance between adjacent treads in a row. This configuration forms a convolutedly shaped network contiguous channels within which liquid may collect and spread out. The shape of the channel network and the shapes and orientations of the chevron-shaped treads inhibits the mass flow of liquid to the front, back, or sides of the floor tray during acceleration, deceleration, and up or down hill traverses.
