Abstract: A method for detecting potential security threats is provided. An image sensor configured for image capture and a radar device comprising a phased array of antennas configured to transmit and receive are provided. Images are captured by the image sensor. Signals emitted by the phased array of antennas are beam steered to scan a field of view of the radar device, reflected signals are received by the phased array of antennas, and a location of a particular object is determined based on the signals received by the phased array of antennas. A field of view of the radar device is mapped over images captured by the image sensor, and the images are transmitted showing the particular object based on the mapping of the field of view of the radar device over the captured images. Further provided is a camera system including an image sensor and a radar device.
