Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a process of manufacturing calcium carbonate-containing slurries, wherein said calcium carbonate-containing slurries are prepared by adding one or more zirconium compounds, and possibly one or more further phosphate-free additives acting as dispersing and/or grinding aid agents. An other object of the invention lies in calcium carbonate-containing slurries thus obtained, and dry calcium carbonate mineral pigments resulting from the drying of such slurries. A further object of the invention is the use of such slurries and such dry mineral pigments in paper manufacturing, plastic coatings, as fillers for plastics or for aqueous paint compositions and the like. Papers, paints and plastics containing such slurries and such dry pigments are also an object of the present invention.

Abstract: The invention relates to the selection of a natural calcium carbonate crushed to a high degree of fineness, possibly treated with one or more fatty acids or one or more of their salts or mixtures thereof, and its use as a rheology regulator for polymeric compositions. The specific surface area is 14 to 30 m2/g measured according to the BET method to ISO 4652, and the oil absorption is greater than 16 measured according to ISO 787-V (Rub-out method). The conditions of mixing of the constituents and manufacture are improved, as well as the properties of the final product.

Abstract: The invention concerns a new synthetic mineral matter containing carbonate, the decomposition of which reduces the rate of fossil fuel carbon dioxide emission. It also concerns its manufacture in batches, or in a batch-continuous manner, or in a continuous manner, together with its uses in the pharmaceutical field, the field of human or animal foodstuffs, or again the papermaking field with, notably, manufacture of paper, filler or coating, or again every other paper surface treatment, together with the fields of water-based or non-water-based paints, together with the field of plastics, such as that of breathable polyethylene films, or again the field of printing inks.
Abstract: The present invention relates to composites, comprising inorganic and/or organic pigments and/or fillers in the form of microparticles, the surface of which is coated at least partially with finely divided nano-dolomiie with the help of binders based on copolymers comprising as monomers one or more diearboxyjic acids and one or more monomers from the group of diamines, triammcs, dialkanolamines or maikanohitnmes, a method for producing such composites, aqueous slurries thereof, their use, and the use of the inventive binders for coating the microparticles with nano-dolomite.

Abstract: The invention relates to the use of a weakly ionic and water-soluble copolymer as a grinding aid agent for grinding mineral matter in aqueous suspension in order to obtain aqueous suspensions of refined mineral matter, with a dry matter concentration that can be high, with a low Brookfield™ viscosity that remains stable over time, having the property that it presents a pigmentary surface area the ionic charge of which, as determined by ionic titration, is low. The invention relates to the aqueous suspensions of mineral matter obtained and their use in the fields of paper, paint and plastics.
