Abstract: Provided herein is a multi-functional moving floor device for interacting with virtual environments. Generally, the moving floor device has a substantially hemispherical body with a flat top surface and an inner core, a control module, an action module, a wall module, a computing unit communicably connected with the control module, the action module, the wall module and a virtual reality system with means to activate and deactivate the device and a power module. The moving floor devices may comprise wall-like structures and may simulate virtual walls. Also provided is a user-customized method for interacting with virtual reality via the multi-functional moving floor device.
Abstract: A multicolored and accented carpet includes a plurality of tufts of color accented fiber including two or more differently colored extruded solution dyed yarns and a base yarn twisted together whereby a plurality of color transitions are provided along the length of the single accented fiber. A cut pile carpet is produced, having the appearance of a space dyed carpet, with the fade and bleach resistance of a solution dyed carpet.

Abstract: A power sanding machine (10) has three circumferentially spaced cogged belts (40) to drive three discs (52) rotatably mounted to an inner bowl (30) which is rotatably mounted to a housing (12), which in turn is connected to an operating handle (14). Mechanical lock can rotationally affix the inner bowl (30) to the housing to circumferentially position a pulley at the left or right edge (326, 322) of the sanding machine or at the front end (330) of the sanding machine. Power cleaning and sanding machines (412, 500, 600) incorporate the three disc (52) arrangement or a direct-drive one disc arrangement (572, 672). The machines (412, 500, 600) include multiple floor finishing units (420, 514, 614) ganged together in unique arrangements.
Abstract: A support post for use in construction mounted to the floor with a base collar which is provided with spacer rings for height adjustment. The spacer rings are inserted into the base collar before the support post is in order to provide additional height for the support post as needed in the field.
Abstract: An improved ledger beam is provided which securely forms a load transferring connection with joist members without the need for separate material connectors which must be welded or fastened to the ledger beam. The ledger beam has a series of shear tabs integrally formed from the ledger beam's parent material which serve as points of fastening between the ledger beam and the joists. Also provided is a method of transferring loads from joist members to ledger members in a structural floor arrangement without the need for separate material connectors which must be welded or fastened to the ledger beam.
