Abstract: A local area, thermal cosmogenic neutron sensor is used for detecting moisture within a measurement surface. A neutron detector is positioned on a stand structure holding the detector above a measurement surface. A neutron shield is positioned around at least a portion of the neutron detector. The neutron shield substantially covers lateral sides of the neutron detector and substantially an entirety of a top of the neutron detector and is not positioned on a bottom side of the neutron detector. Local area, thermal cosmogenic neutrons propagating from the measurement surface travel through an air space before arriving at the neutron detector.

Abstract: Techniques for detecting anomalies in a distributed application based on process data are provided. This process data can include, e.g., the hierarchy (i.e., tree) of processes created and run by the application, the file system operations performed by each process, the network access operations performed by each process.

Abstract: A power sensor system for monitoring a subcritical neutron generator is provided. The power sensor system comprises a self-powered sensor insert. The self-powered sensor insert comprises an insert thimble and a detector assembly. The insert thimble includes an outer housing, a power generator configured to produce an electrical power based on an incident radiation and a first electrical interface electrically connected to the power generator. The detector assembly includes a solid state radiation detector able to provide a detector signal directly proportional to a neutron flux level, a transmitter configured to wirelessly output a transmitter signal based on the detector signal and a second electrical interface configured to electrically couple to the first electrical interface. A power monitor system comprising a power sensor system and a control system and a method for optimizing a subcritical neutron generator are also provided.

Abstract: Testing software applications often requires a balancing of thoroughness versus the time and computing resources available to perform such tests. Certain data handling operations may potentially expose data to unauthorized parties. However, not all data is equal; some data requires a greater degree of protection than other data, which may be based on a security context (e.g., rule, law, policy, etc.). By generating rules determined by a particular context, extraneous tests on data outside of the context, may be omitted. Unnecessary tests may be omitted and the results of each analysis process correlated to identify actual vulnerabilities and omit false positives, such as vulnerabilities to data that does not require the same degree of care to avoid unauthorized exposure.

Abstract: Downhole measurement systems and methods include deploying a bottomhole assembly having a multipole transmitter into a formation and transmitting acoustic signals into the formation. The multipole transmitter is of order n?2. Acoustic signals are received at respective receivers that are circumferentially aligned with the multipole transmitter, and are axially offset from the multipole transmitter, and axially offset from each other. The order of the first and second multipole receivers are equal to the order of the multipole transmitter. A controller is used to obtain first and second acoustic multipole data from the first and second multipole receivers at one or more azimuthal angles of a rotation of the bottomhole assembly in a formation during a drilling operation. Acoustic azimuthal anisotropy of the formation is determined from the first acoustic multipole data and the second acoustic multipole data.

Abstract: A user interface may be communicatively coupled with a fluid-moving pump and may include at least two interactive regions for receiving user input to control the fluid-moving pump. The user interface may be attached to the fluid-moving pump using a mounting cover and an attachment bracket that can allow attachment or positioning of the user interface relative to the fluid-moving pump via a turn motion or other suitable methods. In other examples, the user interface can be mounted on a wall or other surface.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatus where information relating to products and services offered by various vendors may be offered for sale to customers via computing devices owned by those customers. Products and services offered to a particular customer may be related to a product previously purchased by that customer or be related to a product that a customer has access to. In certain instances, a product that a customer has access to may include a tag, such as a circuit, a chip, or printed matter that may provide information to an electronic device of a customer. After the customer's device received the information provided by the product tag, other products or services related to the tagged product may be received by the customer device. Methods consistent with the present disclosure may allow a user of a user device to interact with various different graphical user interfaces when making purchases.

Abstract: Certain exemplary embodiments relate to entertainment systems and, more particularly, to systems that incorporate digital downloading jukebox features and improved user interfaces. For instance, a smart search may be provided, e.g., where search results vary based on the popularity of songs within the venue, in dependence on songs being promoted, etc. As another example, a tile-based approach to organizing groupings of songs is provided. Groupings may involve self-populating collections of songs that combine centrally-promoted songs, songs in a given genre that are popular across an audiovisual distribution network, and songs that are locally popular and match up with the given genre (e.g., because of shared attributes such as same or similar genre, artist, etc.). Different tile visual presentations also are contemplated, as are different physical jukebox designs. In certain example embodiments, a sealed core unit with the “brains” of the jukebox is insertable into a docking station.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to non-blocking messaging in an electronic trading venue (ETV) in which a matching engine sends groups of price-compatible contra-orders to a credit engine. Doing so may improve the ETV's efficacy and performance by eliminating the need for multiple roundtrips of messages in the case of a failed credit check, and/or by allowing the ETV to more faithfully implement its matching rules. Upon sending an order to the credit engine the matching engine marks it as ‘uncertain’ to indicate that additional requests received on it (e.g., cancels) must also be forwarded to the credit engine. When all pending requests on an order have been acknowledged by the credit engine the matching engine unmarks it as such. In addition to credit checking the credit engine may also perform computations related to advanced order types (e.g., icebergs) indicating the output of such in its acknowledgements to the matching engine.

Abstract: Examples for managing virtual infrastructure resources in cloud environments can include (1) instantiating an orchestration node for managing local control planes at multiple clouds, (2) instantiating first and second local control planes at different respective clouds, the first and second local control planes interfacing with different respective virtualized infrastructure managers (“VIMs”), where the first and second local control planes establish secure communication with the orchestration node, and (3) deploying, by the orchestration node, services to the first and second local control planes. Further, the first and second local control planes can cause the respective VIMs to manage the services at the different respective clouds.

Abstract: Various implementations directed to price time priority queue routing for a multi-dimension map tile data exchange linked database are provided. In one implementation, a method may include receiving origin location data and destination location data. The method may also include generating routes based on the origin location data and the destination location data. The method may further include determining virtual hubs along the routes, where the virtual hubs include a first virtual hub based on the origin location data and a second virtual hub based on the destination location data. In addition, the method may include receiving market depth data for a geolocation exchange for the geolocation exchange units based on the routes. The method may also include selecting an optimized route of the routes for the geolocation exchange units based on an objective function.

Abstract: In general, various aspects provide methods, apparatuses, systems, computing devices, computing entities, and/or the like for performing data discovery on a target computing system. In various aspects, a third party computing connects, via a public data network, to an edge node of the target computing system and instructs the target computing system to execute jobs to discover target data stored in data repositories in a private data network in the target computing system. In some aspects, the third party computing system may schedule the jobs on the target computing system based on computing resource availability on the target computing system.

Abstract: According to aspects herein, methods and systems for capacity management of virtual space are provided. The method begins with estimating a capacity size need of a virtual space in a metaverse. A first quantity of avatars is monitored as avatars enter, leave, and occupy the virtual space. The first quantity of avatars in the virtual space is compared with a predetermined fill threshold. Based on the comparing, a duplicate virtual space may be created if the first quantity of avatars in the virtual space exceeds the predetermined fill threshold. A user may transmit a request to join a virtual space in a metaverse to a network. The request to join the virtual space contains at least one avatar identification and may be a request for a group to join. The user or group receives a sequential identifier of the virtual space and then joins the virtual space.

Abstract: A database system is operable to execute a row dispersal operator, in conjunction with execution of a query operator execution flow for a corresponding query, to disperse a plurality of input rows across the set of parallelized operations based on determining a plurality of input data blocks that collectively includes the plurality of input rows, where each input data block in the plurality of input data blocks a corresponding proper subset of the plurality of input rows. Each data block of the plurality of input data blocks is assigned to a corresponding one of the set of parallelized operations for processing in accordance with a uniform assignment scheme, and each data block is forwarded to the corresponding one of the set of parallelized operations by reference.

Abstract: Systems, methods, client devices, and non-transitory computer-readable media are disclosed for displaying a context-aware avatar overlay editor within an active extended-reality environment to modify an avatar without suspending or navigating away from the extended-reality environment. For example, the disclosed systems can provide an integrated avatar overlay editor within an application corresponding to the extended-reality environment. Furthermore, the disclosed systems can utilize the integrated avatar overlay editor to provide, for display as an overlay user interface in the extended-reality environment, a context-aware avatar overlay editor. In addition, the disclosed systems can utilize a contextual recommendation engine to provide avatar modifications within the context-aware avatar overlay editor that are relevant to the active extended-reality environment.

Abstract: A user device is operable to determine a query request based on first user input to a graphical user interface displayed by the user device. Query cost data is determined based on the query request. A prompt is displayed via the graphical user interface that indicates the query cost data. Query approval data is determined based on second user input to the graphical user interface in response to the prompt. The query request is transmitted to an analytics system for execution against a database system when the query approval data indicates approval to transmit the query request.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides various systems and methods for indexing digital (electronic) documents and providing various error reporting and identification functions. The systems and methods may utilize various software, hardware, and firmware modules to identify notations, such as sheet names, anchors, and anchor references on construction documents. Various algorithms and methods may be employed to identify errors, erroneous notations, missing sheets, missing details, and/or the like to aid in the correction of construction documents. Identified notations are indexed and used to create hyperlinked pages that are easily navigable. In some embodiments, the hyperlinked pages may include previous- and next-sheet hyperlinks that allow for direct navigation within a set of pages, according to an order provided in an index sheet (e.g., a table of contents sheet).

Abstract: A liner-label combination is provided for a tamper evident label. The combination includes a label substrate and a liner substrate. The label substrate includes label substrate die cuts that define a top portion, a middle portion, and a bottom portion for the label. The liner substrate includes liner substrate die cuts that correspond to the middle portion of the label. The top portion, middle portion, and bottom portion adapted to be separated from the liner substrate as a single label with a backside of the middle portion including the corresponding liner substrate defined by the liner substrate die cuts. The middle portion of the label adapted to cover an opening of an item and when removed from the opening, the middle portion separates from the top portion and the bottom portion along the label substrate die cuts providing evidence that the opening to the item was exposed.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing off-chain functionality for data contained in blocks of blockchain. In various embodiments, a computing system might assemble data extracted from each block of a first block(s) of a first instance of a blockchain in a generated first file(s), the assembled data being organized to mirror how the data is organized and stored in the first block(s); might store, in a secure database, the first file(s), the first file(s) being configured to be content-searchable, content-sortable, and/or content-filterable; might generate a second instance of the blockchain, which contains one or more second blocks, the one or more second blocks each containing the hash value of each corresponding first block(s), without containing the data contained in each block of the first block(s); and might store, in a distributed peer data storage system of the blockchain system, the generated second instance of the blockchain.
