Abstract: A system for controlling a ground speed of an agricultural sprayer includes one or more sensors configured to capture data indicative of first and second application variables and a computing system communicatively coupled to the one or more sensors. In this respect, the computing system configured to determine the first and second application variables based on the data captured by the one or more sensors. Additionally, the computing system is configured to determine a spray quality index associated with the dispensing of an agricultural fluid onto a field by the agricultural sprayer based on the determined first and second application variables. Moreover, the computing system is configured to control the ground speed at which the agricultural sprayer travels across the field based on the determined spray quality index.

Abstract: A rapid one-pass liquid filtration system efficiently concentrates biological particles that are suspended in liquid from a dilute feed suspension. A sample concentrate or retentate suspension is retained while eliminating the separated fluid in a separate flow stream. Suspended biological particles include such materials as proteins/toxins, viruses, DNA, and/or bacteria in the size range of approximately 0.001 micron to 20 microns diameter. Concentration of these particles is advantageous for detection of target particles in a dilute suspension, because concentrating them into a small volume makes them easier to detect. Additional concentration stages may be added in “cascade” fashion, in order to concentrate particles below the size cut of each preceding stage remaining in the separated fluid in a concentrated sample suspension. This process can also be used to create a “band-pass” concentration for concentration of a particular target size particle within a narrow range.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for securing a network, for admitting new nodes into an existing network, and/or for securely forming a new network. As a non-limiting example, an existing node may be triggered by a user, in response to which the existing node communicates with a network coordinator node. Thereafter, if a new node attempts to enter the network, and also for example has been triggered by a user, the network coordinator may determine, based at least in part on parameters within the new node and the network coordinator, whether the new node can enter the network.

Abstract: Systems and methods for a social networking platform or users thereof to solicit candid content from users. One or more users are selected for receipt of a post request. The users may be selected for a given post request based upon rules-based criteria and algorithmic optimization. Request recipients may provide qualified content posts in response to receipt of a post request. Content posts may be qualified based upon systematically-imposed editorial constraints including a time period during which a qualified post may be made, or other restrictions on the post authoring process.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods that reduce vulnerability of software systems (e.g., machine-learned models) to adversarial attacks by increasing variety within the software system. In particular, a software system can include a number of subcomponents that interoperate using predefined interfaces. To increase variety within the software system, multiple, different versions of one or more of the subcomponents of the software system can be generated. In particular, the different versions of the subcomponent(s) can be different from each other in some way, while still remaining functionally equivalent (e.g., able to perform the same functions with comparable accuracy/success). A plurality of different variants of the software system can be constructed by mixing and matching different versions of the subcomponents. A large amount of variety can be exhibited by the variants of the software system deployed at a given time, thereby leading to increased robustness against adversarial attacks.
Abstract: Implementations are disclosed for automatic commissioning, configuring, calibrating, and/or coordinating sensor-equipped modular edge computing devices that are mountable on agricultural vehicles. In various implementations, neighbor modular edge computing device(s) that are mounted on a vehicle nearest a given modular edge computing device may be detected based on sensor signal(s) generated by contactless sensor(s) of the given modular edge computing device. Based on the detected neighbor modular edge computing device(s), an ordinal position of the given modular edge computing device may be determined relative to a plurality of modular edge computing devices mounted on the agricultural vehicle. Based on the sensor signal(s), distance(s) to the neighbor modular edge computing device(s) may be determined. Extrinsic parameters of the given modular edge computing device may be determined based on the ordinal position of the given modular edge computing device and the distance(s).
Abstract: A control circuit accesses a memory having stored therein data for a three-dimensional model in a first file format (such as, for example, an OBJ file format). The control circuit correlates components of the three-dimensional model in the first file format to corresponding codes, and then expresses the three-dimensional model as data for the three-dimensional model in a second file format (such as, for example, an RVT file format) that is different from the first file format as a function of the aforementioned corresponding codes.
Abstract: In one example embodiment, a computer-implemented method for managing available capacity at a location for receiving an asset includes obtaining data indicative of one or more first assets that will arrive at a first location within a first transfer hub at an arrival time, the one or more first assets being associated with a first service provider. The method includes determining an available capacity at the first location within the first transfer hub for receiving the one or more first assets at the arrival time. The method includes moving one or more second assets positioned at the first location to a second location within the first transfer hub to increase the available capacity at the first location for receiving the one or more first assets at the arrival time.

Abstract: A near-eye display has an image projector coupled to a lightguide for receiving and propagating image light provided by the image projector, the image light carrying an image to be displayed to a viewer. Field of view of the near-eye display may be expanded by providing a beam redirector downstream of the lightguide for controllably redirecting the image light in coordination with displaying different field of view portions by the image projector. To compensate the redirection of external light by the beam redirector, a second beam redirector may be provided upstream of the first redirector and the lightguide.
Abstract: Acoustic Voice Activity Detection (AVAD) methods and systems are described. The AVAD methods and systems, including corresponding algorithms or programs, use microphones to generate virtual directional microphones which have very similar noise responses and very dissimilar speech responses. The ratio of the energies of the virtual microphones is then calculated over a given window size and the ratio can then be used with a variety of methods to generate a VAD signal. The virtual microphones can be constructed using either an adaptive or a fixed filter.
