  • Patent number: 11977165
Abstract: The technology relates to handling of self-reflections of sensor signals off of a portion of a vehicle that is operating in an autonomous driving mode. Vehicle pose information and sensor pose information are determined at a given point in time while operating in the autonomous driving mode. Return signals from one or more scans of the environment are received from onboard sensors such as lidar sensors. The system evaluates, based on the vehicle and sensor pose information, whether a segment between a given one of the one or more sensors and a received point from a selected one of the return signals crosses any surface of a 3D model of the vehicle. The received point is identified as a self-return point. In response to identifying the received point as a self-return point, the vehicle is able to perform a driving operation in the autonomous driving mode.

  • Patent number: 11977556
Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a memory on which is stored machine-readable instructions that when executed by the processor, may cause the processor to receive a request for result data from a requestor and determine queries to create the result data. The processor may determine a subset of a data set based on the queries. The subset of the data set may be displayed in small multiples by the requestor. The processor may output the subset of the data set as the result data to the requestor. In some examples, the processor may receive a request for additional result data from the requestor. The processor may determine a second subset of the data set to be displayed in the small multiples and output the second subset of the data set as the additional result data to the requestor.

  • Patent number: 11979639
Abstract: A method is implemented at an Internet-connected remote control device for reviewing content channels on an Internet-connected display device that is associated with the remote control device via a user account maintained at a server. In response to receiving a user actuation of a user button, the remote control identifies a first Internet content channel that is currently being displayed on the display device, and obtains a preferred channel list including a sequence of Internet content channels that is associated with the user account and includes the first Internet content channel. The remote control then identifies a second Internet content channel that follows the first Internet content channel in the preferred channel list, and transmits to the server a first channel change message including information of the second Internet content channel to cause the Internet-connected display device to display media content provided by the second content channel.

  • Patent number: 11979508
Abstract: A tamper resistant element (TRE) in a device can operate a primary platform and support a “Smart Secure Platform”. The TRE may not keep time when electrical power is removed from the TRE. The device can receive (i) a certificate for an image delivery server (IDS) with a first timestamp and (ii) a signed second timestamp from a certificate authority, comprising a signature according to the Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) with stapling. The device can forward the certificate and second timestamp to the TRE. The device can receive a ciphertext and an encrypted image from the IDS, where the ciphertext includes a third timestamp from a Time Stamp Authority (TSA), and forward the data to the TRE. The TRE can conduct a key exchange to decrypt the ciphertext. The TRE can compare the second and third timestamps to verify the certificate has not been revoked.

  • Patent number: 11976477
Abstract: A formwork system includes a height-adjustable support for supporting a beam in substantially horizontal or slightly inclined position that includes a support with a central upstanding member and a support arm. The support arm has a rounded socket, and the beam has a cylindrical mounting pin proximate its end. The socket and mounting pin are shaped and sized so that the mounting pin is retained within the socket and they together form a hinge joint. As the mounting pin is retained by the socket of the support arm, it does not shift laterally relative to the support arm as the support arm is vertically adjusted. The variance in the gap between laterally secured forming panels as a response to vertical shift of the support is dependent on the incline angle of the beam and the dimensions of the beam and the support arm. This is predictable within a defined tolerance.

  • Patent number: 11976678
Abstract: Material flow modifiers as disclosed herein overcome drawbacks associated with known adverse flow conditions (e.g., surface erosion, head losses, particulate drop-out, and the like) that arise from flow of certain types of materials (e.g., fluids, slurries, particulates, flowable aggregate, and the like) through a material flow conduit. Such material flow modifiers provide for flow of flowable material within a flow passage of a material flow conduit (e.g., a portion of a pipeline, tubing or the like) to have a rotational flow profile. Advantageously, the rotational flow profile centralizes flow toward the central portion of the flow passage, thereby reducing magnitude of laminar flow to overcome the aforementioned adverse flow conditions.

  • Patent number: 11977149
Abstract: A scan aggregator and filter for an autonomous vehicle includes a plurality of radar sensors, where each radar sensor performs a plurality of individual scans of a surrounding environment to obtain data in the form of a radar point cloud including a plurality of detection points. The scan aggregator and filter also includes an automated driving controller in electronic communication with the plurality of radar sensors. The automated driving controller is instructed to filter each of the individual scans to define a spatial region of interest and to remove the detection points of the radar point cloud that represent moving objects based on a first outlier-robust model estimation algorithm. The automated driving controller aggregates a predefined number of individual scans together based on a motion compensated aggregation technique to create an aggregated data scan and applies a plurality of density-based clustering algorithms to filter the aggregated data scan.

  • Patent number: 11979560
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide a method, an apparatus, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for video decoding. The apparatus includes processing circuitry configured to reconstruct an area in a block in a current picture from a coded video bitstream. The block includes one or more coding blocks (CBs) in the current picture. After the reconstructing, the processing circuitry determines whether to update a previous local reference range for an intra block copy (IBC) mode based on a content of the reconstructed area and/or prediction information of the reconstructed area. In response to a determination not to update the previous local reference range for the IBC mode, the previous local reference range for the IBC mode is not updated. The processing circuitry decodes a coding block in the current picture using the IBC mode that is based on the previous local reference range, which does not include the reconstructed area.
