Abstract: A vehicle includes at least one wheel that drives a tire to move the vehicle along a support. The vehicle includes a radio-frequency (RF) transceiver that transmits an RF signal toward the support and measures a reflected signal. The vehicle includes a drive unit that drives rotation of the at least one wheel. The vehicle includes control circuitry in communication with the RF transceiver and the drive unit. The control circuitry is configured to estimate a moisture condition of the support based on the reflected signal, determine a level of friction between the tire and the support based on the moisture condition, and communicate an output to adjust force between the tire and the support in response to the level of friction.

Abstract: A work machine with a frame, an engine, a drivetrain powered by the engine, a ground-engaging member connected to the drivetrain, an operator cabin supported by the frame, a work implement, and a braking system connected to the ground-engaging member. The braking system including a brake input device located in the operator cabin for providing an input from an operator, at least one braking sub-system associated with the drivetrain, and a controller having at least one advanced braking feature, the braking system applying an automatic braking force in response to the at least one advance braking feature, and applying an additional progressive braking force in response to the input from the operator.

Abstract: The invention herein describes an aerodynamically improved projectile which has less overall mass and achieves higher maximum velocities. The projectile has a jacket with a nose opening and a base opening and a core disposed therein. The core is open-ended and has a channel defined from the open forward end to the open base end. The channel is axially aligned with the nose opening and base opening of the jacket. Removably attached to the base opening is a base cover that is engineered to detach from the projectile during flight. A pressure differential created in the channel during projectile flight causes the base cover to detach from the projectile, thereby fully opening the channel.

Abstract: An adapter structure for fixing a portion of a telecommunications cable to a telecommunications device and directing fibers within the cable into the device includes a crimp body and an outer mounting body. The crimp body defines a first side and a second side separated by a center portion and also includes two flexible legs extending from the first side and an integral crimp portion extending from the second side that has outer surface texturing. The outer mounting body includes a through-hole, where the two flexible legs of the crimp body fit into one end of the through-hole. It also includes tabs on opposing sides of the outer mounting body for slidable insertion into slots defined by the telecommunications device to prevent movement of the outer mounting body in a front to back direction, relative to the device.

In one example, the receptacle is a piece of audio/video (AV) equipment. The female portion is configured to receive a wire and/or other electrical component. The lever is configured to actuate between an open position and a closed position. In the open position, the lever is configured to actuate an internal spring to receive a wire. In the closed position, the lever is configured to release the internal spring to secure and/or retain the wire via a compression force.

Abstract: A device configured to generate haptic feedback is disclosed. The device includes a housing, a connector, and a haptic motor. The connector includes a mount end coupled to the housing and a distal end spaced away from the mount end. The haptic motor is coupled to the distal end of the connector. Activation of the haptic motor causes the haptic motor to move relative to the housing to generate the haptic feedback.

Abstract: An auxiliary wheel including a wheel hub and a tire, the wheel hub includes an outer wheel hub and an inner wheel hub and the tire is mounted on the outer wall of the outer wheel hub. The outer wheel hub and the inner wheel hub are detachably connected through a first connection component. When the first connection component unlocks the connection between the outer wheel hub and the inner wheel hub, relative rotation is generated between the outer wheel hub and the inner wheel hub with bearings disposed between the inner wheel hub and the outer wheel hub to reduce friction. Friction is reduced between the outer and inner wheels, thereby increasing the upper limit of the auxiliary wheel rotation speed. A nut and bolt arrangement is disposed in the nut groove to firmly fix the ring on the outer wall of the outer wheel.

The bypass sequence can involve determining a bypass period for which to bypass the particular battery cell based on the capacity of the particular battery cell, and transmitting a bypass signal to a drive circuit. The drive circuit can receive the bypass signal and responsively operate the bypass switch of the particular battery cell section to bypass the particular battery cell for the bypass period.

From the normalized URL, noise is removed and quality control is performed. As a result, shoppable URL may be presented at the user's computing device as personal recommendation. The video and metadata of the cleaned URL is also ingested and stored in a database for future reference.
