  • Patent number: 12164893
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for compiling latency insensitive programs for a synchronous processor. One of the methods includes receiving an intermediate representation of a program specifying operations to be performed by a plurality of respective components of a synchronous processor, wherein the intermediate representation assigns, to each operation of the plurality of operations, a respective clock cycle value at which the operation is scheduled to be executed by the synchronous processor. The intermediate representation is processed to generate a respective update window for each operation in the intermediate representation requiring a hardware configuration update, wherein the update window specifies a time range during which a configuration update instruction can be executed to effectuate the hardware configuration update.

  • Patent number: 12164617
Abstract: Some implementations provide input-triggered user verification. This may involve trigging a user verification (e.g., capture of an image, sound, fingerprint, etc.) to verify a user's identity based on input (e.g., typing) received ad the device. Triggering the user-verification based on receiving input may help ensure that the image, sound, fingerprint, etc. is captured at a time when the user is close to the device, touching the finger-print sensor, and/or in view of the camera during the capturing. Some implementations provide user verification based on a user-identification of a previously selected image. This may involve using an inmate-selected picture or other image to recover a forgotten alphanumeric reference. Some implementations of the invention disclosed herein provide user verification based on a computer-vision identification of a wearable identification tag. This may involve using an image of the user's identification tag worn on the user's wrist to verify the user's identity.

Abstract: This application relates to apparatus and methods for identifying and remediating poor user experiences on computing devices. In some examples, a user speed determination device is configured to receive a content delivery request for delivery of content to a user device. The computing is also configured to obtain user identification data, obtain user device data and determine a user device speed based on the user identification data and the user device data. The computing device then sends a user device speed indicator to a content delivery device to cause the content delivery device to deliver remediated content to the user device when the user device speed is determined to be less than a predetermined speed threshold. The user identification data can include an IP address and the user device data can include user agent data, user connection data and user resource timing data.

  • Patent number: 12166450
Abstract: A medium voltage inrush current (MVIC) regulator and interconnection control system for interposing between a distributed power generation facility and a utility grid. The facility has a designated generator step-up (GSU) transformer and is connected to the utility grid at a point of interconnect. The system includes a pre-insertion impedance injection transformer, a low voltage first switch connected between the pre-insertion transformer and secondary coils of the designated GSU transformer, a medium voltage second switch connected inline between the pre-insertion transformer and primary coils of the designated GSU transformer, and a controller. In response to restoration of the utility grid following a loss-of-grid event, the controller opens and closes the first and second switches according to an automated pre-energization switching sequence such that magnetic flux in the designated GSU transformer occurs at a reduced rate, thereby reducing inrush of current and undesirable power quality phenomena.
