Abstract: A merchant can offer digital content online and receive payment from consumers thereof where the merchant has established at least one online account to receive payments and has associated same with a merchant user device. The merchant provides digital content for offer to consumers online, and an online micro-payment facility receives a consumer request to purchase digital content. Upon verifying receipt of valid payment, the facility transfers the payment, or portion thereof, to the merchant's online account. The merchant retrieves the payment, or portion thereof, upon presentation of the merchant user device to a facility operably connected to the online account.
