Abstract: A method for providing user-specific driver assistance includes storing, in a vehicle, warning threshold preset values used to provide driver assistance warnings, and identifying a driver of the vehicle based on driver identification information. Sensors provide driver behavior data for the identified driver, which is then compared to desired driver behavior data. A modified warning value specific to the identified driver is then determined based at least in part on a result of the comparison. One or more of the plurality of warning threshold preset values may be updated based on the modified warning value, and a driver assistance warning may be provided to the identified driver in accordance with the updated one or more of the plurality of warning threshold preset values.

Abstract: Controlling a power converters during over voltage condition. A wind turbine signal is monitored for detection of an over voltage of the grid and upon detection of the over voltage, an over-modulation mode is initiated wherein the grid side converter is operated with a modulation index being increased in an over-modulation range at least during a sub-period of the over-modulation mode, and upon the detection of the operational condition, a DC-voltage adjustment mode is initiated wherein the DC voltage of the DC link is decreased from a second voltage level towards a first voltage level at least during a sub-period of the DC-voltage adjustment mode.

Abstract: A dispensing pump for liquids, viscous materials, foams, gels, etc. includes a resilient plastic skirt spring so that the entire pump can be more easily recycled. The skirt spring comprises a plurality of concentric nesting rings sequentially decreasing in diameter from a base ring to a top ring to form a conical shape wherein adjacent rings are interconnected by spaced bridge segments and the bridge segments are staggered at each sequential ring.
Abstract: The present technology relates generally to cough-assist devices with humidified cough assistance. In one example, a system includes a cough-assist device having a first phase configured to provide insufflating gas to a patient circuit and a second phase configured to draw exsufflating gas from the patient circuit. A humidifier is disposed between the cough-assist device and a distal end of the patient circuit, the humidifier including a chamber configured to contain heated water and fluidically coupled to the cough-assist device and the patient circuit. The system further includes a bypass configured to (a) direct insufflating gas from the cough-assist device through a first route to the patient circuit such that the insufflating gas is humidified in the chamber, and (b) route exsufflating gas from the patient circuit through a second route to the cough-assist device such that the exsufflating gas bypasses the chamber.
Abstract: Provided is a vehicle-mounted relay device that can suppress failures in reading/writing of data due to electric power shortage. The vehicle-mounted relay device determines whether or not reading/writing of data is possible based on the required amount of stored power in the electric power storage device and the remaining amount of stored power in the electric power storage device needed to read/write the data. If the remaining amount of stored power is equal to or greater than the required amount of stored power, there is no risk that the remaining amount of stored power in the electric power storage device may run short before the reading/writing of the data ends. Accordingly, if it is determined that reading/writing of the data is possible, the vehicle-mounted relay device causes an ECU, which is a vehicle-mounted control device, to start reading/writing the data.
Abstract: An operation information analyzer includes: an information collection unit 11 configured to collect event information on events that have occurred during operation of an apparatus 20 including a plurality of devices 21; an information analysis unit 12 configured to organize the collected event information to generate and store index values used to evaluate operation conditions of the apparatus 20; and an information presentation unit 13 configured to present the index values stored in the information analysis unit 12 to a user. The information analysis unit 12 generates the index values for each period sectioned based on a change in an operation state of the apparatus.
Abstract: Movement device for moving an object along a movement surface, including: a percussion mass and suspension device, connecting the percussion mass to object, moving to move the percussion mass repeatedly along a closed path, a head, constrained to the object, to interfere with the closed path, the percussion mass interfering with the head along an advance line and direction, connection device for connecting the object to the movement surface to create friction between the object and movement surface. The percussion mass interfering with the head causes a reaction force exceeding the friction, capable of moving the object relative to the movement surface. The percussion mass not interfering with the head along the closed path does not cause reaction forces exceeding the friction, capable of moving the object relative to the movement surface.
Abstract: Methods are provided for permitting manipulation of an achievable dose distribution estimate deliverable by a radiation delivery apparatus for proposed treatment of a subject. One such method comprises: determining a dose modification voxel for which it is desired to modify the dose value and a corresponding magnitude of desired dose modification; for each of a plurality of beams: (i) characterizing the beam as a two-dimensional array of beamlets, wherein each beamlet is associated with a corresponding intensity value and a ray line representing the projection of the beamlet into space; and (ii) identifying one or more dose-change beamlets which have associated ray lines that intersect the dose modification voxel; modifying the intensity values of at least one of the dose-change beamlets; and updating the achievable dose distribution estimate to account for the modified intensity values of the at least one of the dose-change beamlets.
Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for parsing a user interface (UI) product to obtain a UI element provided therein, the UI product prepared in a first language. A UI element is replaced with a converted UI element, in which the converted UI element approximates a translation of the UI element into a second language different from the first language. After replacement of the UI element, a detection is made as to whether a UI issue exists. When a UI issue is detected, the converted UI element is modified so that translation of the UI product into the second language does not include the detected UI issue. The UI element is provided in a language different from the first language via the UI product based on the converted UI element.
