  • Patent number: 10778408
Abstract: Remote terminals are configured to generate ciphertexts from plaintext polynomials. Each ciphertext corresponds to a plaintext polynomial bound to a message space of a polynomial-based fully homomorphic cryptographic scheme. At least one server is configured to receive ciphertexts via a network from the plurality of remote terminals. The server performs a multiplication operation and an addition operation on the ciphertexts to obtain resultant ciphertexts. The multiplication operation includes performing a bitwise decomposition function on a ciphertext to obtain a bitwise decomposed ciphertext. The bitwise decomposition function maps a multi-bit data type to a sequence of bits. The multiplication operation further includes performing matrix multiplication on the bitwise decomposed ciphertext and a data element belonging to a set of data elements. Message filters, data search engines, and other applications are discussed.

  • Publication number: 20200284805
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods of identifying biomarkers (such as genes (e.g., RNA or mRNA), proteins, and/or small molecules) that can be used to predict organ or tissue function or dysfunction. In some embodiments, the methods include ex vivo perfusion of the organ or tissue, collection of samples from the organ or tissue (for example, perfusate, fluids produced by the organ (such as bile or urine), or tissue biopsies) and measuring the level of one or more biomarkers in the sample. It is also disclosed herein that an analysis of biomarkers (such as genes (e.g., RNA or mRNA), proteins, and/or small molecules) present in a biological sample from an organ, tissue, or subject can be used to identify whether the organ, tissue, or subject is at risk for (or has) organ dysfunction or organ failure.

  • Publication number: 20200282565
Abstract: A transport device according to an embodiment includes a holder, a driver, a force sensor, a first acquirer, and a controller. The holder holds cargo. The driver, which is a driver connected to the holder, moves the holder. The force sensor, provided in the vicinity of a connection location where the holder and the driver are connected to each other, detects a force applied to the vicinity of the connection location. The first acquirer acquires holding information indicating a holding state of the holder holding the cargo. The controller transports the cargo to the driver in a case where it is determined that the driver is caused to transport the cargo, on the basis of holding information indicating a holding state of the holder which is acquired by the first acquirer and detection results of the force sensor.

  • Publication number: 20200287118
Abstract: Superconducting integrated circuit layouts are proofed against the detrimental effects of stray flux by designing and fabricating them to have one or more ground planes patterned in the x-y plane with a regular grid of low-aspect-ratio flux-trapping voids. The ground plane(s) can be globally patterned with such voids and thousands or more superconducting circuit devices and wires can thereafter be laid out so as not to intersect or come so close to the voids that the trapped flux would induce supercurrents in them, thus preventing undesirable coupling of flux into circuit elements. Sandwiching a wire layer between patterned ground planes permits wires to be laid out even closer to the voids. Voids of successively smaller maximum dimension can be concentrically stacked in pyramidal fashion in multiple ground plane layers having different superconductor transition temperatures, increasing the x-y area available for device placement and wire-up.

  • Publication number: 20200284254
Abstract: A groove (38) extending from a start point of a discharge port (36) in a direction opposite to rotation direction of a vane (22) is formed. A first end portion (38E) of this groove is connected to the start point of the discharge port (36). When a front-side vane (22) in a rotation direction of a driving shaft (11) is positioned at the start point of the discharge port (36), a second end portion (38S) of the groove is positioned at a rear side in the rotation direction of the driving shaft (11) with respect to a rear-side vane (22), and communicates with a suction port (35). A part of working fluid in a front-side pump chamber (27) can be introduced into a rear-side pump chamber (27) that communicates with the suction port (35). Excessive pressure increase of the front-side pump chamber (27) can be lessened, thereby suppressing pulsation phenomenon.

  • Publication number: 20200284332
Abstract: A wave bearing of a wave generator of a strain wave gearing is provided with steel or stainless steel cylindrical hollow rollers between an inner-race-side raceway surface and an outer-race-side raceway surface, the hollow rollers serving as rolling elements. The ratio Di/Do of the inner diameter Di to the outer diameter Do of the hollow rollers is set to 0.95 or more. The relative radius of curvature of hollow rollers that have been flexed into an ellipsoidal shape increases with respect to the inner-race raceway surface and the outer-race raceway surface with which the hollow rollers are in contact, and the Hertz maximum contact stress is reduced. The hardness of the hollow rollers, the inner-race raceway surface, and the outer-race raceway surface can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20200282790
Abstract: An air spring assembly for a vehicle having a damper body which is decoupled from the bellow of a piston, allowing the damper to rotate freely without inducing torsion into the piston. The design includes a two-piece piston having both an inner piston and an outer piston which are connected together, and a portion of the inner piston is positioned over the damper tube. The piston having the two-piece design allows for the two-piece piston to fully decouple from the damper without leakage. The inner piston retains a rotary O-ring which seals to a damper rod to keep air within the air spring assembly. The air spring assembly also includes a thrust bearing located between the inner piston and the top surface of the damper tube. The thrust bearing allows full decoupling from the inner piston and the damper, ensuring that there is no torsion translated to the bellow.

  • Publication number: 20200284560
Abstract: A projectile 360, 460 includes a body having a distal ogive section with external ballistic effect uniforming surface discontinuity (e.g., nose ring groove 369, 469) defined therein to provide an unsupported gap in the ogive profile which affects the flow of air over the front half of the ogive to provide greater aerodynamic uniformity and shot-to-shot consistency with more uniform observed external ballistics and superior terminal ballistics. The bullet's external surface discontinuity feature (369 or 469) creates effects in the flowfield that dominate any dynamic effects from bullet-to-bullet manufacturing inconsistency and resultant differences in dynamic behavior.
