  • Patent number: 10767628
Abstract: The invention relates to control of a wind turbine comprising a plurality of multi-axial accelerometers mounted at different positions in the nacelle and/or in a top portion of the tower. The position and orientation of each accelerometer as mounted is obtained, accelerations in at least two different directions by each accelerometer are measured during operation of the wind turbine. From a number of predetermined mode shapes for the movement of the wind turbine is then determined an absolute position of at least one of the accelerometers during operation of the wind turbine based on the measured accelerations, the mount position and orientation of each accelerometer and the pre-determined mode shapes. Hereby a more precise absolute position during operation is obtained which can be used in the controlling of the turbine.

  • Patent number: 10768033
Abstract: The object of the invention is to obtain a thermal flowmeter which effectively causes water droplets to be directed to a discharge port when the water droplets adhered to a wall surface of a first passage are drawn into a third passage portion. A thermal flowmeter of the present invention includes a sub-passage that takes a measurement gas flowing through a main passage; and a flow detection unit that measures a flow rate of the measurement gas by performing heat transfer with the measurement gas flowing through a sub-passage. Further, the sub-passage includes a first passage, a second passage portion branching in the middle of the first passage portion to be directed toward the flow detection unit; and a third passage portion branching in the middle of the second passage portion to be directed toward a third outlet, and a pressure loss generation means is provided between a third inlet and the third outlet of the third passage portion.

  • Patent number: 10765074
Abstract: A system for cultivating a crop includes a guide and a plurality of gutters. Each gutter is provided to contain a plurality of crop units and the guide is provided to guide the gutters in a first direction and to gradually increase the distance between adjacent gutters in said direction so that the number of crop units per square metre in the area substantially decreases. The area comprises first and second zones, and each gutter in the first zone contains crop units with a first intermediate distance and each gutter in the second zone contains crop units with a second intermediate distance. The first intermediate distance is considerably smaller than the second intermediate distance and the distance between gutters in the first zone at the position of a transition from the first zone to the second zone is considerably greater than the distance between gutters in the second zone.

  • Patent number: 10770955
Abstract: In an electrical connection terminal assembly and an electromotive drive device, a connector-side terminal is divided into two portions along an insertion direction of the connector-side terminal, thereby constituting divided terminal pieces. These divided terminal pieces are inserted between elastic terminal pieces of a base-board-side terminal, thereby electrically connecting the two parties. In this manner, the connector-side terminal is divided into the two portions to constitute the divided terminal pieces, and thus the rigidity of each of the divided terminal pieces can be decreased. Even if the connector-side terminal has been connected to the base-board-side terminal by prying, the divided terminal pieces of the connector-side terminal deform readily to follow the shape of the base-board-side terminal and thus it is possible to suppress an increased change in an electrical resistance and/or a thermal resistance between the base-board-side terminal and the connector-side terminal.

  • Patent number: 10768403
Abstract: Techniques for acquiring focused images of a microscope slide are disclosed. During a calibration phase, a “base” focal plane is determined using non-synthetic and/or synthetic auto-focus techniques. Furthermore, offset planes are determined for color channels (or filter bands) and used to generate an auto-focus model. During subsequent scans, the auto-focus model can be used to quickly estimate the focal plane of interest for each color channel (or filter band) rather than re-employing the non-synthetic and/or synthetic auto-focus techniques.

  • Publication number: 20200280867
Abstract: An apparatus determining network health comprising base stations in bidirectional communication with radios, each having an identifier and transmitting a signal including the identifier. First and second health determining radios each receive the signal during normal over-the-air operation of radio and determine if the radio is authorized and, if so, determine the identifier, time-separated signal waveforms that are compared, operating characteristics from the compared waveforms, and a current location of the radio. Each of the radios determine health of the radio based on packet sniffing, a frequency deviation, or a range of deviations by analyzing the operating characteristics. After analysis results sent to the master controller from the radios indicate that the authorized radio is healthy, the master controller determines from the analysis results that a geographically unhealthy location of the network exists within the geographic area from which the authorized healthy radio transmitted the signal.
