  • Patent number: 10717646
Abstract: A method and alignment system for minimizing errors in the deposition of films of tailored thickness. A first position on a stage is identified for optimal placement of a downward looking microscope (DLM) and an upward looking microscope (ULM) when alignment marks on the DLM and ULM are aligned, where the DLM is attached to a bridge and the ULM is attached to the stage. A second position on the stage is identified when the ULM on the stage is aligned with the alignment marks on a metrology tool. A surface of a chucked substrate affixed to the stage is then measured. A map between a substrate coordinate system and a metrology coordinate system may then be obtained using the measured surface of the chucked substrate with the first and second positions.

  • Patent number: 10721649
Abstract: A connection node provides a high bandwidth connection on demand to mobile units that are in need of increased bandwidth for data transfers. In this manner, the connection node can supplement the bandwidth available to a mobile unit so that large volumes of data can be communicated to and from the mobile unit. A movable antenna automatically focuses its reception area on the mobile unit's location, after which, a high bandwidth connection can be established for high-speed data transfer. The high bandwidth connection is maintained, such as by tracking the mobile unit with the antenna, even if the mobile unit is moving.

  • Patent number: 10720188
Abstract: A method includes receiving a plurality of images at an encoder device. The plurality of images is encoded by the encoder device to generate an output video stream. The output video stream includes a plurality of encoded video frames corresponding to the plurality of images. While receiving the plurality of images and while generating the output video stream, the encoder device receives a notification that a particular image of the plurality of images satisfies a thumbnail generation condition based on stream analysis of one or more of the plurality of images. The output video stream is sent concurrently with a supplemental data package to a media server. The supplemental data package comprises a thumbnail and metadata associated with the thumbnail, the thumbnail generated from the particular image responsive to receiving the notification.

  • Patent number: 10717165
Abstract: The invention relates to a surface machining device comprising a substrate support for receiving a substrate to be machined, a machining unit which can be moved relative to the substrate support along a first and a second movement axis, a position detecting unit for ascertaining the orientation of the substrate, and a control unit for controlling the movement of the machining unit dependent on the orientation of the substrate on the substrate support. The aim of the invention is to provide a surface machining device which can be produced in a compact manner and which allows a precise machining of the surface of the substrate to be machined in an inexpensive manner regardless of the position of the substrate on the substrate support. This is achieved in that the machining unit can be pivoted relative to the substrate support, in particular about a height axis which extends perpendicularly to the plane formed by the first and second movement axis.

  • Patent number: 10720818
Abstract: A synchronous reluctance type rotary electric machine of an embodiment includes a shaft, a rotor core, rotor core pressers, a plurality of conductor bars, and short-circuit rings. The shaft rotates around a rotation axis. The rotor core is fixed to the shaft and includes multi-layered hollow parts having a convex shape toward a radially inward side formed for each pole in cross section. The rotor core pressers hold the rotor core by pressing the rotor core from both sides in a rotation axis direction. The plurality of conductor bars are disposed in the hollow parts to extend along the rotation axis and have both ends protruding through the rotor core pressers. The short-circuit rings are provided at both ends of each of the plurality of conductor bars and connect the plurality of conductor bars together. Thus, the conductor bars are fixed to the rotor core pressers.
